Collins Test Solutions Engineering (CTSE) is searching for a candidate to fill a Mission Systems Senior Engineering Manager position.
What You Will Do- This position will lead a team of 12-15 software, systems and hardware test engineers in the design and development of test solutions that will be deployed to engineering and production facilities.
- The candidate will be responsible for providing leadership, guidance, hiring, and mentoring to new engineers. A candidate for this position will prepare/deliver performance reviews, provide coaching/mentoring, assist in career development, plan salaries, reward and recognize individuals, and manage staff performance, as needed.
- The candidate will also be responsible for identifying the necessary staff, facilities, and equipment for the successful execution of projects. In addition to strong leadership and organizational skills, candidates must have experience in project management.
- Candidate will be responsible for adherence to capital and operating budgets, schedules, work plans and performance requirements, along with the planning and budgeting for the acquisition of test equipment. Occasional domestic and international travel is rare but may be expected for this position.
- This role will require you to work on-site.
Qualifications You Must Have- Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
- Working knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
- Experience in a leadership role
- Experience presenting to leadership and peers
Qualifications We Prefer- Advanced degree in one of the aforementioned disciplines. ABET accreditation preferred.
- Previous experience with career development and personal skills development of team members
- Experience developing Test Solutions for production test environments
- Experience in leading/developing power supply, RF and digital technology projects
- Experience working in Agile development process
- Experience working with Program Management principles and tools
- Experience with Proposal Capture Process (development of compliant Basis of Estimates)
- Experience with Estimate at Complete (EAC) process and Engineering Labor Forecasting

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
