About the Role

The Senior Manager of Technical Mission Readiness will lead the planning, integration, and operational readiness of technology capabilities supporting Clarity's mission programs, classified environments, and customer delivery. This role ensures programs have the infrastructure, systems, connectivity, technical capabilities, and support required to execute mission requirements.

Reporting to the Vice President of Information Technology, the Senior Manager will work closely with One IT, Security, engineering teams, program leadership, and government stakeholders to identify mission requirements, resolve technical barriers, and ensure environments are ready to support current and emerging programs.

The ideal candidate combines deep DoD or IC technical experience with strong operational leadership, sound technical judgment, and the ability to translate mission requirements into executable solutions.
Responsibilities
Mission Readiness & Program Enablement
• Assess technical readiness for existing and emerging mission programs.
• Translate program and customer requirements into actionable infrastructure, systems, connectivity, and technical requirements.
• Identify capability gaps, dependencies, risks, and technical barriers that could impact mission execution.
• Develop readiness plans and coordinate actions required to prepare environments for program execution.
• Track mission readiness activities through completion and provide clear status, risks, and recommendations to leadership.
• Partner with program teams to ensure technology enables delivery and mission execution.
Classified & Mission Environments
• Provide technical leadership supporting SCIF IT operations, classified enclaves, high side environments, and mission systems.
• Coordinate with Security, One IT, program teams, and government stakeholders on classified technology requirements.
• Support the design, deployment, integration, and sustainment of classified and mission environments.
• Ensure systems, networks, infrastructure, and technical capabilities introduced into mission environments follow established governance and security requirements.
• Support secure connectivity, remote administration, cross domain requirements, and other mission technology capabilities as applicable.
• Identify opportunities to standardize and improve classified IT capabilities across programs and locations.
Mission Systems & Engineering
• Partner with platform, infrastructure, network, security, and engineering teams to design resilient mission solutions.
• Evaluate technologies and technical capabilities for mission applicability, scalability, interoperability, and operational effectiveness.
• Support cyber ranges, development environments, test environments, mission platforms, and specialized program infrastructure.
• Coordinate technical requirements across compute, storage, networking, identity, endpoints, cloud, monitoring, and supporting infrastructure.
• Support implementation of Zero Trust and other enterprise architecture capabilities within mission environments where applicable.
• Drive automation and repeatable engineering approaches that improve readiness and reduce deployment timelines.
Operational Readiness & Resilience
• Evaluate mission environments for availability, resilience, recovery, capacity, connectivity, and overall technical readiness.
• Coordinate technical readiness reviews before significant deployments, exercises, demonstrations, customer milestones, and operational events.
• Identify single points of failure, capacity constraints, dependencies, and operational risks that could impact mission execution.
• Support contingency planning, disaster recovery, incident response, and mission recovery activities.
• Coordinate resolution of technical issues affecting program readiness.
• Establish measurable readiness criteria and provide leadership visibility into mission capability, gaps, and risk.
Customer & Program Engagement
• Serve as a technical partner to program leadership and mission teams.
• Engage with government customers and technical stakeholders to understand mission requirements, constraints, and future needs.
• Support technical exchanges, customer reviews, demonstrations, exercises, and mission planning activities.
• Support Growth, Capture, and Proposal teams with mission technology expertise.
• Evaluate infrastructure and technology requirements for new opportunities and provide technical input into solution development.
• Communicate technical risks, dependencies, requirements, and recommendations clearly to technical, program, and executive audiences.
Technology Integration & Modernization
• Identify emerging technologies that can improve mission capability, resilience, scalability, or operational efficiency.
• Support integration of cloud, AI, automation, modern infrastructure, and mission technologies where appropriate.
• Coordinate with One IT to leverage enterprise capabilities while accounting for program specific and classified requirements.
• Reduce unnecessary technical fragmentation through reusable architectures, standards, and shared capabilities.
• Support technical planning for new programs, facilities, acquisitions, and mission environments.
• Ensure mission technology requirements are incorporated into One IT architecture and modernization planning.
Leadership & Workforce Development
• Lead and develop personnel supporting technical mission readiness activities.
• Establish clear priorities, responsibilities, and expectations for mission support activities.
• Assign work, track deliverables, remove blockers, and drive actions through completion.
• Develop technical capabilities within the team through mentoring, training, and hands on engagement.
• Partner with One IT leadership to identify workforce and capability requirements needed to support future missions.
• Build strong working relationships across programs, engineering, Security, Growth, and One IT.
• Promote a culture of ownership, responsiveness, technical excellence, and mission focus.
Required Qualifications
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
• 8 or more years of progressive IT, systems engineering, infrastructure, mission technology, or related technical experience within DoD or IC environments.
• Demonstrated experience supporting classified information systems, SCIF environments, high side environments, or mission networks.
• Strong understanding of enterprise and mission technology architecture, including compute, storage, networking, identity, endpoints, cloud, and infrastructure services.
• Experience designing, deploying, integrating, operating, or supporting complex technical environments.
• Experience translating customer and mission requirements into technical solutions and executable plans.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical and operational problems across organizational boundaries.
• Experience communicating technical risks and recommendations to program leadership, executives, and government stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical personnel and drive complex initiatives through completion.
• Must be eligible for employment in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
• CISSP, SecurityX, CCSP, CCNP, AWS, Azure, or equivalent technical certification.
• Experience supporting DoD SAP or IC environments.
• Familiarity with JSIG, ICD, RMF, and requirements governing classified information systems.
• Experience supporting cyber ranges, mission labs, development environments, or specialized technical infrastructure.
• Experience with Zero Trust architecture and implementation.
• Experience with cloud, automation, AI, DevSecOps, platform engineering, or modern infrastructure technologies.
• Experience supporting Growth, Capture, proposals, or customer solution development in a government contracting environment.
• Experience establishing, scaling, or modernizing classified and mission technology environments.
• Experience supporting technical programs through organizational growth, new contract awards, or acquisitions.
Position Details

Reports To: Vice President, Information Technology
Work Location: In office a minimum of three days per week
Travel: Up to 25%
Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI required

Salary Range: $103,000 - $278,000

The posted pay range reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position and is provided to give candidates a general understanding of the compensation opportunity. The actual salary offered will be determined based on the requirements of the position and a variety of job-related factors, which may include geographic location, applicable Federal Government contract labor categories and wage rates, relevant experience, skills and competencies, education, certifications, and the scope and responsibilities of the role.

Because this position may be performed in multiple locations and may be subject to different contract requirements, the salary ultimately offered may vary based on the applicable location and contract.
