Position SummaryA Senior Manager is needed to oversee Tax and Accounting Services.This role manages client relationships, supervises staff, ensureshigh-quality deliverables, and supports practice growth. The idealcandidate has strong public accounting experience, advanced softwareproficiency, deep GAAP knowledge, and proven leadership skills.Additional hours may be required during peak periods.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership& Management• Oversee tax and accounting operations. • Supervise, mentor, anddevelop staff. • Review work for accuracy and compliance. • Conductevaluations and support development. • Promote a collaborative,client-focused culture.
Client Service• Serve as primary relationship manager. • Provide tax planning,consulting, and accounting solutions. • Meet with clients to assessneeds and identify opportunities. • Maintain strong client satisfaction.
Technical Responsibilities• Review complex business, partnership, trust, and individual taxreturns. • Review financial statements, compilations, and accountingengagements. • Ensure GAAP compliance. • Research and resolve taxand accounting issues. • Provide technical guidance to staff. • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. • Staycurrent on tax law and accounting standards.
Technology& Process Management• Demonstrate advanced proficiency with accounting and tax software.• Support workflow and efficiency improvements. • Assist with bestpractices and quality control.
Business Development• Participate in networking and business development. • Identifyopportunities to expand services. • Support strategic planning andgrowth initiatives.
Requirements
• Active CPA license. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or relatedfield. • 8-10 years of progressive public accounting experience. • Experience managing tax and accounting engagements. • Strong GAAPand financial reporting knowledge. • Advanced proficiency withaccounting and tax software. • Proven leadership and team managementexperience. • Excellent communication and organizational skills. • Commitment to professionalism and quality.
Preferred• Experience managing multiple engagements. • Experience mentoringstaff. • Business development experience. • Experience with closelyheld businesses and high-net-worth individuals.
