Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Recommerce is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving Walmart's B2C recommerce business across Marketplace channels. This leader will own end-to-end strategy and execution for pricing, inventory flow, and channel performance-transforming returned, damaged, and excess inventory into profitable, customer-facing opportunities.
Operating at the intersection of marketplace growth, reverse supply chain, and data-driven decision-making, this role partners cross-functionally with Merchandising, Supply Chain, Operations, Product, and Technology teams to build and scale recommerce capabilities. The position plays a critical role in maximizing recovery value, improving sell-through, and delivering a seamless, trusted customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
Pricing Strategy & Revenue Optimization
Own end-to-end pricing strategy across recommerce inventory, including dynamic pricing by condition, category, and channel. Optimize markdown strategies and aging curves to maximize recovery rates while balancing sell-through speed and margin.
Inventory Optimization & Channel Strategy
Lead inventory allocation across Walmart.com and strategic partner channels. Develop data-driven frameworks to determine optimal channel placement based on demand signals and recovery potential.
Marketplace & Channel Performance
Own performance metrics including GMV, recovery rate, sell-through, margin, and average unit retail (AUR). Optimize channel mix and drive accountability across internal and external partners.
Recommerce Operations & Execution
Oversee the flow of returned, damaged, and excess inventory through recommerce channels, including direct-to-consumer marketplace sales and liquidation. Drive daily execution, resolve operational escalations, and improve inventory availability and flow.
Site Experience & Conversion Optimization
Partner with Site and Merchandising teams to enhance product listings, improve conversion rates, and ensure high-quality, consistent customer experiences across recommerce offerings.
Technology, Data & AI Enablement
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams to scale pricing and inventory decisions through automation and AI-driven tools. Translate business needs into system and algorithm requirements.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Act as the B2C recommerce lead within a broader ecosystem, partnering closely with Reverse Supply Chain, Merchandising, Product, Technology, and external marketplace partners to drive alignment and results.
Team Leadership
Lead and develop a high-performing team (2 direct reports), establishing strong operating rhythms, performance management, and a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications
Required Experience
  • 7-10+ years in retail, eCommerce, marketplace, or recommerce environments
  • Proven ownership of pricing, revenue management, inventory flow, or marketplace performance
  • Experience managing multi-channel fulfillment and marketplace operations
  • Demonstrated success driving measurable commercial outcomes

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
