Full Job Description
Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Strategy & Engagement - Risk & Resilience to provide senior advisory, commercial, and delivery leadership across the practice. This role will help shape major enterprise pursuits, oversee a portfolio of client engagements, establish strong commercial and delivery governance, and ensure RapidScale brings an integrated Risk & Resilience perspective to complex client challenges.

The Senior Manager will operate across the full lifecycle of the practice-from opportunity development and pursuit strategy through solution shaping, pricing and scope governance, delivery oversight, and executive client engagement.

This is not a traditional program management role or a purely technical cybersecurity position. The ideal candidate is a senior consulting-trained Risk & Resilience practitioner who can move comfortably between executive advisory conversations, complex pursuit leadership, commercial decision-making, and delivery oversight.

The role requires the ability to connect enterprise risk, resilience, cybersecurity, AI, cloud, governance, and compliance into a cohesive business-facing advisory strategy while bringing the consulting discipline and commercial judgment necessary to help scale a growing practice.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

Portfolio & Advisory Leadership
  • Provide senior leadership across a portfolio of Risk & Resilience pursuits and client engagements.
  • Establish priorities across active opportunities and delivery workstreams based on client needs, strategic value, resource requirements, risk, and commercial considerations.
  • Serve as a senior advisor to enterprise clients navigating complex issues involving risk, resilience, cybersecurity, AI, cloud, governance, compliance, and operational readiness.
  • Lead executive-level conversations with CIOs, CISOs, CTOs, risk, compliance, security, and transformation leaders.
  • Help clients translate complex business and technology risks into actionable strategies, investment priorities, roadmaps, and transformation plans.
  • Provide senior review and guidance on client recommendations, executive deliverables, and strategic readouts.

Major Pursuit & Solution Leadership
  • Lead the shaping of complex, strategic, and high-value Risk & Resilience pursuits.
  • Partner with sales, practice leadership, and technical subject matter experts to define the client problem, advisory approach, scope, solution, and value proposition.
  • Lead or provide senior oversight for discovery sessions, executive workshops, proposal development, and pursuit presentations.
  • Determine the appropriate combination of advisory, cybersecurity, cloud, AI, compliance, and delivery capabilities required to address client needs.
  • Ensure pursuits are structured around measurable client outcomes rather than isolated technical activities.
  • Provide senior-level support for strategic client presentations and executive decision-making throughout the pursuit lifecycle.

Commercial Governance
  • Provide oversight for SOW development, pricing, scope, assumptions, resource models, and engagement economics across Risk & Resilience opportunities.
  • Evaluate proposed engagements for delivery feasibility, commercial risk, and alignment with practice capabilities.
  • Partner with practice and business leadership to validate pricing strategies and delivery models for complex engagements.
  • Identify potential scope, margin, delivery, or resource risks before commitments are made to clients.
  • Help establish repeatable commercial guardrails and pricing approaches as the practice scales.
  • Ensure that what is sold can be successfully delivered and that client expectations are appropriately established throughout the pursuit process.

Delivery Oversight
  • Provide senior oversight across multiple concurrent Risk & Resilience engagements.
  • Establish delivery expectations and governance for complex or high-visibility client work.
  • Monitor engagement health, client satisfaction, scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, and overall quality.
  • Provide escalation support when delivery challenges arise and help teams develop appropriate remediation plans.
  • Ensure consistency and quality across executive deliverables, recommendations, assessments, and client readouts.
  • Coach engagement leaders and subject matter experts on client management, problem structuring, executive communication, and consulting discipline.
  • Maintain connectivity between pursuit strategy and delivery execution to ensure commitments made during the sales process translate into successful client outcomes.

Practice Development & Growth
  • Partner with the Practice Lead to develop and scale RapidScale's Risk & Resilience advisory capabilities.
  • Help define repeatable offerings, methodologies, frameworks, delivery models, pricing approaches, and quality standards.
  • Identify emerging client needs and translate them into new or expanded advisory offerings.
  • Develop reusable intellectual property, assessment tools, SOW frameworks, executive materials, and seller enablement.
  • Help build organizational capability across Risk & Resilience by mentoring team members and coordinating expertise across security, cloud, AI, compliance, and delivery.
  • Support internal education and enablement to help sellers identify, qualify, and position Risk & Resilience opportunities.
  • Contribute to the overall growth, market positioning, and maturity of the practice.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with 8 years of enterprise technology sales experience. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a Master's degree with 6 years of experience, a Ph.D. with 3 years of related experience, or 12 years of directly related experience.
  • Significant experience in consulting, advisory services, risk, resilience, cybersecurity, technology transformation, or a related discipline.
  • Experience leading complex enterprise consulting or advisory engagements involving multiple workstreams, stakeholders, and subject matter experts.
  • Experience shaping complex client opportunities and translating ambiguous business challenges into structured advisory solutions.
  • Experience developing and reviewing SOWs, proposals, pricing approaches, scopes, resource models, and engagement plans.
  • Experience providing delivery leadership or oversight across multiple concurrent client engagements or workstreams.

  • Demonstrated depth in at least two of the following areas: risk, resilience, cybersecurity, AI, or cloud, with strong fluency across adjacent disciplines.
  • Experience serving as a senior advisor to CIO, CISO, CTO, risk, compliance, security, and transformation executives.
  • Experience leading major or complex enterprise pursuits from qualification and discovery through proposal, commercial negotiation, and transition to delivery.
  • Experience with consulting engagement economics, pricing, resource modeling, scope governance, and commercial risk management.
  • Experience overseeing a portfolio of consulting or professional services engagements.
  • Experience establishing delivery governance, quality standards, methodologies, or practice operating models.
  • Experience developing new consulting offerings, methodologies, frameworks, intellectual property, or go-to-market capabilities.
  • Experience mentoring consultants, engagement managers, or other advisory professionals.
  • Experience operating across both pre-sales/pursuit activity and post-sale delivery within an enterprise consulting or professional services organization.
