Opportunity at a Glance
Under the general direction of the Lead Senior Manager, Accreditation & Professional Regulation, the Senior Manager oversees an assigned portfolio of programs and campus locations to support alignment with Board of Nursing standards, accreditation requirements, and applicable regulations. The Senior Manager partners with program leaders, maintains relationships with regulatory agencies and accreditors, and oversees required submissions, reports, site visits, and related regulatory and accreditation activities.
Responsibilities
- Establishes and maintains relationships with state regulatory agencies in support of new and existing campuses and programs.
- Represents the institution before regulatory agencies in support of new campus development, existing campus operations, online programs, and program changes.
- Manages state regulatory and Board of Nursing approval processes for new and existing programs, including required documentation, submission timing, site visits, responses, and follow-up activities.
- In collaboration with program leaders, oversees the preparation and submission of applications, self-studies, reports, and other materials required to support approval, licensure, and ongoing compliance for campus-based and online programs.
- Serves as a resource to the organization's Legal, Compliance, and Regulatory Affairs departments and program leaders.
- Provides regulatory input and guidance for curriculum development and program changes to support compliance with state, accreditation, and professional requirements.
- Assesses personnel qualification requirements for new and existing campuses and programs, including review of designated leadership candidates, and serves as a subject matter expert on applicable regulatory requirements.
- Provides input and support for the development and submission of accreditation reports and notifications related to campus, online program, and institutional initiatives.
- Participates in mock reviews and self-assessment activities and advises faculty, staff, and program leaders regarding regulatory approval, accreditation, and ongoing compliance requirements.
- Serves on institutional committees and cross-functional workgroups to support compliance with state regulatory requirements and provide input on new and existing campus and program initiatives.
- Monitors the application of student and academic policies to support compliance with applicable state, accreditation, and professional requirements.
- Travels as needed to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all institutional policies and standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
- 5+ years of teaching and/or management experience in a higher education setting and experience with assessment, accreditation and regulatory approval processes required.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and develop positive relationships with state agency personnel.
- Strong critical thinking skills to assess state requirements that may not be explicit.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, writing, editing, and computer skills are required.
Additional Information
In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $80336.75 and $145077.09. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
