Position SummaryThe Senior Manager will oversee the Application Development team, leading efforts to modernize legacy systems while ensuring the continuity of business operations. The role involves implementing cutting-edge technologies and AI-assisted development practices, integrating low-code/no-code solutions, and making key architectural decisions to drive technical innovation. The manager will also handle project portfolios, manage timelines and resources, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that technology solutions align with overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and mentor a diverse team of developers working across both legacy and modern applications.
- Develop and execute strategies aimed at modernizing legacy systems, maintaining business continuity throughout the transition.
- Implement AI-assisted development practices to boost team productivity and improve code quality.
- Oversee the integration of low-code/no-code platforms and business rules engines into the development workflow.
- Drive technical innovation and make crucial architectural decisions.
- Manage project portfolios, ensuring effective timeline management and resource allocation.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to align technology initiatives with business goals.
Required Qualifications- 7+ years of experience in software development.
- At least 5 years of management experience in application development.
- 3+ years of strong expertise in maintaining and modernizing legacy systems.
- 1+ year of experience utilizing AI/ML tools in the development process.
- 3+ years of experience with any large public cloud such as GCP.
- 1+ years of experience working with Docker /Kubernetes.
Preferred Qualifications- Knowledge of low-code/no-code platforms and business rules engines.
- Proven success in leading digital transformation initiatives.
- Legacy systems maintenance and modernization.
- Expertise in modern development frameworks and languages.
- Knowledge of business rules engines.
- Understanding of cloud technologies.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices.
EducationBachelor's degree, or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)
Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:
$106,605.00 - $260,590.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
