Senior Manager, Shopper & Solutions Insights, Pureplay

Are you ready to shape the future of digital commerce at Mars? As the Senior Manager, Shopper & Solutions Insights, Pureplay, you will sit at the dynamic intersection of Insights, Sales, and Category Leadership. In this high-impact role, you will serve as our primary expert on eCommerce channel dynamics, digital shelf optimization, and pureplay shopper behavior. By designing cutting-edge, digital-first shopper analytics and primary research, you will unlock deep shopper motivations and translate complex data into actionable, joint-growth strategies for major retail partners like Amazon and Chewy.

This is both a strategic and hands-on opportunity. You will act as a trusted advisor, collaborating closely with internal account teams, category leadership, and external retail merchants to influence decision-making at the highest levels. What are we looking for?
  • Bachelor's degree required MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in insights, analytics, strategy, account management, or consulting roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience conducting shopper and behavioral analytics across multiple data sources (such as panel, loyalty, and digital shelf).
  • Proven track record of leading end-to-end analytical projects, from defining the problem to generating insights and delivering strategic business recommendations.
  • Demonstrated capability to influence both internal stakeholders and external retail partners.
  • Proven success in translating complex shopper insights into tangible business actions and outcomes.
  • Direct experience and technical expertise with Chewy and Amazon data.

Nice-to-Haves:
  • Experience in the CPG industry, working closely with major retail customers on joint business plans or retailer-facing solutions.
  • An understanding of how to integrate eCommerce and omnichannel shopper data, with familiarity using tools like NIQ, Data Impact, Similarweb, or Profitero.
  • Exposure to or familiarity with AI-enabled analytics tools and advanced data environments.


What will be your key responsibilities?
  • End-to-End Insights Ownership: Design and execute multi-method shopper research and studies (blending primary research, behavioral data, and digital insights) to build a deep understanding of shopper needs and translate them into growth solutions.
  • eCommerce & Digital Shelf Analytics: Lead pureplay digital shelf, clickstream, and conversion analytics to uncover performance drivers, track digital shelving behaviors, and deliver best practices.
  • Strategic Advisory: Act as a trusted advisor to key pureplay retailers, presenting compelling shopper insights and activating category-building solutions with merchant and category teams.
  • Learning Plan Development: Design and execute a comprehensive pureplay learning plan in close collaboration with category leadership, retail pods, and global teams.
  • Omnichannel Connectivity: Connect digital and physical shopper experiences to build a holistic, 360-degree view of shopper behavior across channels.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with account and category teams to ensure insights are fully aligned to retailer strategies, critical business challenges, and joint business plans.
  • Education & Capability Building: Educate, upskill, and share critical pureplay insights and eCommerce trends with internal sales, marketing, and category teams to elevate digital commerce capabilities across Mars.
  • Impact Tracking & Innovation: Measure the adoption and business impact of your recommendations, while continuously testing and implementing new, cutting-edge research methodologies to share across Mars.
