Join the team as Twilio's next Senior Manager, Strategic Sales, Social Impact.

About the job

This position is needed to lead our growing Hybrid New Business / Strategic Sales team supporting our Social Impact customers to deliver life changing services with Twilio. The right person for this role is a go-getter who wants to develop and identify new revenue opportunities with existing enterprise logos in the not-for-profit, healthcare, and social impact space as well as land net new non-profit enterprise companies . As a sales leader, you will be managing and developing a global team of quota-carrying AEs. You will participate and lead in client meetings as well as work cross-functionally with stakeholders and corporate resources as required. You will be responsible for ongoing mentoring and development of the sales team which includes recruiting, hiring and training new team members on the sales process. In this role, you will report on sales activity and forecast to senior sales management.

Responsibilities

In this role, you'll:
    • Support the successful sale of multi-product solutions to existing customers and successfully onboard large enterprise customers with their first set of use cases
    • Retain and grow existing revenue through strategic account management
    • Generate new pipeline through cross-sell & up-sell motions and driving consistent pipeline generation through outbound SDR-led campaigns
    • Collaborate with your AEs and cross functional business partners to land complex deals and advance relationships with the C-Suite.
    • Run a daily/weekly/monthly operating cadence that drives accountability and supports achievement of quarterly revenue and sales targets.
    • Develop and share best practices across the entire Twilio.org team

*Required:
  • A leader who lives the Twilio Magic and has a demonstrated track record of success. You should feel comfortable selling a platform solution and experience in the Contact Center, cPaaS, or Data/Martech space is helpful.
  • Customer-focused and metrics driven with a track record of coaching & developing account executives.
  • Experience hiring senior/enterprise-level account executives and staying on top of performance management.
  • Ability to navigate complex organizations as well as plan and execute EBRs.
  • Our champions & contacts are often application owners, software engineering leaders, product managers, entrepreneurs, and line of business owners so you must love talking to all different types of customers.

Location
  1. Focus on Tier 3 with option to hire Tier 2 for the right candidate. East Coast preferred.
  2. This role will be remote, but is not eligible to be hired in CT, NJ, NY, WA, PA or the surrounding areas of San Francisco, CA, Oakland, CA, or San Jose, CA

Travel

We prioritize connection and opportunities to build relationships with our customers and each other. For this role, approximately 30-40% travel is anticipated to help you connect in-person in a meaningful way.

Compensation
  • *Please note the salary range information provided applies only to candidates residing in California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington D.C., and Washington State due to local requirements. Compensation for candidates in other locations will be discussed during the hiring process. Please note that hiring for this role is not restricted to the locations listed above.
    The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:
    • Based in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Vermont or Washington D.C. : $158,632.00 -$198,290.00
    • Based in New York, New Jersey, Washington State, or California (outside of the San Francisco Bay area): $167,440.00 - $209,300.00
    • Based in the San Francisco Bay area, California: $176,256.00 - $220,320.00
    • This role may be eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan and corporate bonus plan. All roles are generally eligible for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.

    The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
