About the Role

As Senior Manager, Sales planning and strategy at DoorDash, you will play a pivotal role in executing against top company business objectives and help define our sales strategy and planning roadmap.

You will be responsible for leading a team of sales planners and analysts. Your team's responsibilities will range from strategic (designing incentives aligned to the company's goals and strategy, integrating new products into sales GTM strategy and building consensus among sales leadership) to operational/tactical (designing compensation plans, driving plan implementation and ensuring key metrics can be communicated, tracked and commissions calculated). You will bring a strategic mindset and deliver critical insights using analytical and technical support to the successful administration of sales incentive programs globally while proactively building partnerships, promoting open dialogue and creative insights expertise to issues in real time. Reporting to the Director of Sales Strategy and Planning, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to provide valuable insights and recommendations.

  • Strategic Leadership: Lead a high-performing team of sales planners and analysts to to own the development, implementation and administration of new and existing sales incentive structures for our SMB Post Sales team.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Legal, HR and Product, to drive alignment and support decision-making.
  • Data Analysis and Insights: Analyze large datasets to derive actionable insights, identify trends, and provide recommendations to improve sales performance and efficiency.
  • Sales Performance Optimization: Collaborate with Sales leadership to develop and implement strategies to optimize sales performance, including territory planning, pricing strategies, and salesforce effectiveness.
  • Forecasting and Reporting: Develop and maintain sales forecasting models, track key performance metrics, and prepare regular reports for executive leadership and Sales teams.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within Sales operations, Sales planning or related field, preferably in the technology marketplace, logistics, or e-commerce industry.
  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MS) is a plus.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives, hitting goals, and succeeding in a complex and fast moving environment
  • Excellent analytical thinker who can deliver actionable recommendations out of complex datasets; SQL experience strongly preferred as is experience with Salesforce/Excel

Compensation

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee's work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.

  • For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.
  • For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).


The national base pay range for this position within the United States, including Illinois and Colorado.
