Senior Manager, Relationship Manager
The candidate for this role will serve as an associate business development banker focused on acquiring and growing relationships within the Middle Market Corporate Bank. This candidate will support Senior Corporate Bankers and leaders in developing new client relationships, co-managing existing relationships and driving client profitability through cross sell. The candidate will play an integral role in product positioning, due diligence, and transaction execution by creating value-add pitchbooks, analyzing financials, completing pre-screen deal memos, supporting the credit approval process, managing prospect databases and helping onboard and service customer relationships. The candidate in this position will be expected to work independently, provide guidance and support to junior team members and to validate accuracy and completeness of junior team members' work product.
Responsibilities:
Work independently with some assistance from senior corporate bankers
Research companies and identify most actionable prospects
Work with senior corporate bankers on prospect outreach to generate high quality leads
Assist in the preparation of customer presentations and term sheets
Own and execute the deal screen and credit approval process; serve as an expert on due diligence, analysis and pricing
Work cross functionality with all internal and external stakeholders on deal execution
Participate in business development and networking activities
Coach and mentor more junior team members
Check accuracy and completeness of junior team members' work product
Working diligently with quantitative, analytical skills for presentations and pitch materials
High work ethic and ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Differentiated interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with ability to synthesize complex concepts in a concise manner
Basic Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
MBA with accounting or finance focus
Completion of a formal credit training program
Prior experience mentoring or managing others
Prior experience in a sales or client management role

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Alpharetta, GA: $182,500 - $208,300 for MMB Specialty Relationship Mgr III
Charlotte, NC: $182,500 - $208,300 for MMB Specialty Relationship Mgr III
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidates offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
