Role Description This is a senior individual contributor and agency-management role for someone who thinks strategically, executes flawlessly, and genuinely loves finding new ways to tell stories and expanding reach across tech, lifestyle, and corporate - always with an eye on where audiences are migrating and how to meet them there. You're curious and critical, able to evaluate the news landscape to create new opportunities for Aura. The ideal candidate has strong media relationships in tech and lifestyle, a strong instinct for narrative, the operational chops to manage a multi-agency, multi-market remit, and the curiosity to test and try new things. Critically, you're data-led - you know how to tie PR activity to business outcomes, track what's working, and use that to sharpen strategy over time.
What You'll Do- Own global PR strategy and in-market execution for new product launches - hardware and software - developing narratives that go beyond specs, with direct responsibility for the US, CA, MX, and Australia.
- Proactively mine for and develop stories that expand Aura's brand beyond "digital picture frame," spanning culture, technology, family, and human connection.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with journalists and editors across tech, lifestyle, and general interest media. Secure high-impact feature stories, reviews, and commerce placements.
- Build and manage Aura's editorial calendar, developing timely pitches aligned to cultural moments, seasonal buying periods, and business milestones.
- Scale Aura's content affiliate platform - managing publisher relationships, editorial commerce placements, and driving measurable impact on traffic and revenue.
- Serve as the primary strategic lead for Aura's AMPAC PR agencies (US, Canada, Mexico, Australia) - setting priorities, managing timelines, and holding partners accountable to results. Serve as a key collaborator for global agency teams in the EU, UK.
- Track, measure, and report on the business impact of PR activity - connecting coverage to traffic, conversion, and revenue. Use data to continuously sharpen strategy and make the case for PR's role in Aura's growth.
- Partner closely with the Sr. Director of Communications & Product Marketing, as well as product and leadership teams, to align PR efforts with broader business priorities.
What You Bring- 8-10 years in consumer or tech PR, agency or in-house
- Established relationships with tech, lifestyle, and general interest media
- Experience working on consumer tech products: hardware, software, apps
- Demonstrated success securing feature stories, not just product or gifting mentions
- Experience managing multi-market relationships
- Proven ability to manage editorial affiliate programs and measure ROI
- Strong narrative instincts - you know how to find the story others miss
- Experience planning and executing product launch campaigns from brief to coverage
- A natural collaborator who thrives working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional partners
- Thrives in a fast-moving, startup environment with high ownership and low hand-holding
