Senior Manager, Program Management - Maritime Imaging Systems (MIS) International Portfolio
Northampton, MA (100% onsite; no remote/hybrid options)
Full Time - Onsite
The Senior Program Manager will lead a high-visibility, $40M+ Maritime Imaging Systems (MIS) international portfolio, responsible for delivering advanced imaging and submarine systems capabilities to global military customers via FMS and DCS contracts. This leader will drive cost, schedule, and technical success across multiple programs, ensuring operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and business growth.
This role reports directly to the General Manager / Site Executive and requires deep experience managing complex defense programs, earned value excellence, and Secret clearance eligibility.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all phases of the MIS International portfolio, ensuring cost, schedule, and technical performance.
  • Drive program execution to achieve revenue, order intake, EBIT, and cash flow targets.
  • Serve as principal customer interface; lead program reviews covering performance, risks, and deliverables.
  • Lead preparation and negotiation of proposals, SOWs, contract terms, pricing, and modifications.
  • Direct cross-functional teams in engineering, supply chain, production, and support functions.
  • Oversee development, integration, testing, and production activities.
  • Establish and monitor program schedules, milestones, earned value metrics, and delivery progress.
  • Identify challenges; deploy solutions and corrective actions to maintain operational success.
  • Expand product lines through new program captures, change orders, and adjacent markets.
  • Deliver executive-level reporting and presentations internally and externally.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree + 12 years of relevant experience
    OR Graduate degree + 10 years
    OR 16+ years proven experience in lieu of degree
  • Demonstrated success managing complex, multi-program platforms in defense or aerospace
  • Strong earned value management (EVM) experience
  • Experience reporting to executive leadership/senior GM level
  • Experience across development, integration, and low-rate production life cycles
  • Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance
