About The Role

We are looking for a Senior Manager, Program Management to serve as a strategic architect for the Brand Creative Studio’s design ecosystem. Reporting directly to the Sr. Manager of Creative Operations and Program Management, you will be a key thought partner in reimagining how design operates is at its healthiest and most impactful level.

Your mission is to bridge the gap between Core Design and Production Design, ensuring they operate as a unified, high-performance engine rather than parallel tracks. You won't just manage timelines; you will rethink the foundational "how" of our work—from optimizing review and approval cycles to establishing BCS as the definitive brand steward for the entire organization. You are a systems thinker who ensures that as we scale high-volume work for Netflix House and beyond, we never compromise on craft or brand integrity.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Operations & Process Innovation

  • Thought Partnership: Serve as the right-hand partner to the Sr. Manager of Creative Operations & Program Management to brainstorm, pilot, and implement studio-wide processes that improve design health and team velocity.

  • Review & Approval Optimization: Critically evaluate and redesign how design work is reviewed and approved. Implement rituals that reduce friction, ensure creative alignment early, and empower designers to do their best work.

  • The "Design Healthy" Initiative: Monitor the pulse of the design team’s workload and sentiment, implementing operational guardrails to prevent burnout and ensure a sustainable balance between "big idea" thinking and execution.

2. Bridging Core & Production Design

  • Unified Lifecycle Management: Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of design programs, ensuring Core Design (conceptual systems) and Production Design (scaling and delivery) are seamlessly integrated.

  • SLA & Delivery Architecture: Establish and refine Service Level Agreements that reflect the complexity of modern campaign needs—from 12-week ATL brand launches to rapid-turnaround BTL venue assets.

  • Systems Stewardship: Ensure that the systems built by Core Design are successfully operationalized by Production Design, maintaining a "source of truth" that prevents brand creep across all 1,500+ annual assets.

3. Global Brand Stewardship

  • BCS as Brand Authority: Formalize the role of BCS as the brand steward for the entire organization. Build the frameworks and toolkits that allow other departments to interact with the brand correctly while ensuring BCS remains the final authority on craft and quality.

  • Stakeholder Navigation: Partner with House Leads and Marketing stakeholders to translate business goals into clear, actionable design briefs that respect the studio's capacity and standards.

4. Team & Pod Leadership

  • Pod Orchestration: Help mentor a team of Program Managers, partnering with Senior Manager Creative Ops + Program Management to effectively map PMs to business areas to build deep domain expertise.

  • Resource Advocacy: Use data and visibility tools (Airtable) to advocate for the design team, ensuring that resource allocation aligns with the studio’s highest strategic priorities.

What We Are Looking For

  • 10-12+ years of experience in Program Management, Studio Operations, with a heavy emphasis on Design.

  • Operational Visionary: You don’t just follow a process; you enjoy breaking and rebuilding it to make it better. You have a proven track record of implementing successful review/approval workflows.

  • Systems Thinker: Deep experience managing the handoff between conceptual design and high-volume production.

  • High Creative EQ: You understand the "why" behind the design and can speak the language of both designers and business leads.

  • Brand Guardian: You have an uncompromising eye for quality and a passion for establishing brand standards that scale.
