Full Job Description
Starting Salary: $150,000+ DOE

What We Need:
Obagi is seeking a strategic and execution-driven Senior Manager of Professional Marketing to lead marketing efforts targeting dermatologists, plastic surgeons, medical spas, aestheticians, and other healthcare professionals (HCPs). This individual will own the professional channel strategy end-to-end - from KOL and dermatologist partnerships to the development of sell-thru tools that drive product education, in-office recommendation, and consumer conversion at the point of care. This is a high-visibility role requiring someone who can operate at both the strategic and tactical level: setting the professional marketing roadmap while also rolling up their sleeves to develop brochures, in-office displays, training materials, and HCP engagement programs.

What You'll Do:
Professional Marketing Strategy
  • Develop and lead the annual professional marketing strategy, aligning with overall brand and business objectives
  • Identify growth opportunities within the professional/medical channel (dermatology practices, med spas, plastic surgery offices, aesthetician networks)
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, R&D, Regulatory, and Brand Marketing to ensure cohesive go-to-market execution
  • Own the professional marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation across programs, tools, and events
  • Partner with the Brand team to adapt and apply brand positioning, messaging frameworks, and brand voice for the physician, NP, and esthetician segments - ensuring professional channel execution is fully aligned with master brand strategy.
KOL, Dermatologist & HCP Partnerships
  • In partnership with the SVP Global Comms Strategy:
    • Build and manage relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), dermatologists, and other HCPs to support product credibility, education, and advocacy
    • Coordinate KOL engagement for product launches, clinical education, congress presence, and content development (case studies, testimonials, social/digital content)
    • Manage speaker programs, advisory boards, and HCP councils
  • Represent the brand at key dermatology/aesthetics conferences and industry events (e.g., AAD, ASDS, IMCAS, Vegas Cosmetic Surgery)
Sell-Thru Tools & Merchandising
  • Lead the strategy, development, and production of professional sell-thru materials, including:
    • Consumer-facing brochures and product education collateral
    • In-office displays, testers, and merchandising units
    • Patient consultation guides and treatment protocol materials
    • Digital assets for practice websites, patient portals, and social sharing
  • Partner with creative/design teams and external agencies to ensure materials are on-brand, clinically accurate, and compliant
  • Continuously evaluate and refine sell-thru tools based on field feedback and performance data
Training & Field Enablement
  • Collaborate with Sales and Education teams to develop training content that equips reps and practice staff to sell-in and sell-thru effectively
  • Support the development of clinical/educational content used in HCP-facing selling materials
Compliance & Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Ensure all professional marketing materials go through appropriate Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) review processes
  • Stay current on industry regulations (FDA, FTC) related to professional and HCP marketing claims
What You'll Need:
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited university, MBA preferred but not required
  • 6-9+ years of relevant professional marketing experience preferably within the aesthetics, skincare, hair, or medical device space.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to details; demonstrated ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines with a collaborative mindset
  • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast paced, ever-changing environment; someone who thrives in ambiguity and adapts quickly, with a passion for creative problem solving.
  • Possess an energetic, driven, positive attitude.
