Job Summary & ResponsibilitiesRole OverviewYou will lead product marketing for Onto Innovation's wafer edge and backside inspection solutions within the semiconductor process control space and be the voice of these flagship technologies. You'll create compelling positioning and go-to-market programs that underscore Onto's technical advantage and business impact for advanced packaging, HBM, hybrid bonding, logic, and memory fabs.
We are seeking a highly motivated Product Marketing Manager to lead the go-to-market strategy and market positioning for our wafer edge and backside inspection solutions used in advanced semiconductor manufacturing and bare silicon substrate manufacturing. This role bridges engineering, sales, applications, and customers to drive product adoption, revenue growth, and market leadership in semiconductor process control and inspection.
The ideal candidate combines strong semiconductor domain expertise with strategic marketing and customer-facing communication skills. Experience in wafer inspection, metrology, yield enhancement, or semiconductor capital equipment is highly preferred.
Key ResponsibilitiesMarket & Competitive Strategy- Develop and execute product marketing strategies for wafer edge and backside inspection systems across logic, memory, advanced packaging, power semiconductor and bare silicon substrate markets.
- Define product positioning, messaging, and differentiation based on customer pain points, competitive analysis, and technology trends.
- Partner with product management and R&D teams to translate technical capabilities into customer value propositions.
- Support new product introductions (NPI), including launch planning, collateral creation, sales enablement, and customer engagement activities.
- Conduct market research and competitive intelligence related to semiconductor inspection, defect detection, contamination control, and yield management.
- Collaborate with regional sales teams to identify market opportunities, support strategic accounts, and drive revenue growth.
- Create technical marketing materials including presentations, white papers, application notes, webinars, and trade show content.
- Work closely with customers and field application engineers to understand fab challenges involving wafer edge defects, backside contamination, bevel inspection, and process-induced yield loss.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, customer meetings, and semiconductor trade shows.
- Support pricing strategies, business forecasting, and market segmentation activities.
QualificationsPreferred Qualifications- Experience with wafer edge inspection, notch inspection, bevel inspection, backside defect detection, or advanced packaging (W2W bonding) inspection solutions.
- Familiarity with semiconductor fabs, foundries, IDM environments, or OSAT customers.
- Knowledge of AI/ML applications in semiconductor inspection and defect classification is a plus.
- Experience supporting products for bare silicon/substrate is a plus.

Compensation & Growth• Base Salary Range:
$133,600.00 - $200,400.00, offered in good faith and based on experience, location, and qualifications.
