Microchip's Data Center Solutions (DCS) group is a fast-growing business with a vision to connect, manage, and secure the world's information by being the preferred partner for storage, memory, and compute connectivity for data centers. DCS delivers a broad portfolio of innovative silicon, board-level, and software solutions that serve as anchors for total system solutions across the data center market.

The Role

Microchip is looking for a Product Marketing Leader to define and drive our global marketing strategy for next-generation data center portfolios. In this role, you will spearhead the positioning, messaging, and strategic direction for products fueling the next wave of AI and cloud data centers. Beyond our core PCIe switch, retimer, storage, and memory businesses, you will collaborate across Microchip to architect compelling security and power management value propositions that resonate deeply with our customers' technical decision-makers. This role demands a strategic thinker who moves fluidly between deep technical architecture, product roadmap planning, and commercial business execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Shaping Go-To-Market Strategy: Drive global positioning, messaging, and launch plans for next-generation data center architectures, centering on PCIe switches, PCIe retimers, advanced storage, and memory infrastructure.
  • Synthesize Total System Value: Partner across Microchip's diverse business units to integrate and position compelling security and power management value propositions that resonate with technical decision-makers at hyperscale and enterprise customers.
  • Bridge Technology and Business: Translate complex silicon and hardware capabilities into clear, high-impact value metrics for customer executives, product management, and engineering teams.
  • Digital & Website Presence Ownership: Drive the strategic direction and content roadmap for the Data Center web properties, collaborating with corporate marketing to ensure high-impact positioning.
  • Corporate Marcom Collaboration: Partner with Microchip's central Marcom organization, providing the technical substance, insights, and assets required to execute world-class global marketing campaigns.


Requirements/Qualifications:

Basic Qualification
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field is highly preferred.
  • 10+ years of product marketing, product management, or technical marketing experience in the semiconductor, data center, or enterprise infrastructure space.
  • 3+ years in a leadership or highly influential principal-level role managing complex, multi-product portfolios.
  • Proven experience presenting to and influencing technical audiences including engineers and architects


Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or Master's degree in a technical discipline
  • Experience marketing to hyperscaler customers (e.g. AWS, Google, Microsoft, Meta)
  • Deep understanding of hardware-level security technologies, root of trust, and evolving industry security trends
  • Familiarity with emerging standards such as UALink, or PCIe Gen 6/7
  • Strong background in AI/ML infrastructure, accelerator topologies, or advanced data center architecture
  • Proven track record of digital content creation, web positioning, and messaging development.
  • Experience building and leading product marketing teams at high-growth technology companies
  • Experience building, scaling, or leading high-performance product marketing teams in high-growth technology sectors
  • Strong executive presence with exceptional public speaking skills for industry events, panels
