Full Job Description
The Product Manager is responsible for the overall business success of a portfolio of Aerospace & Defense products, serving as the primary owner of product strategy, market positioning, revenue growth, and profitability. This role will be responsible for managing the product line, balancing customer needs, market opportunities, and business objectives to drive sustainable growth.

The successful candidate combines technical expertise with strong commercial acumen and leads through influence, aligning Engineering, Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Business Development teams to achieve product and financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Business & P&L Ownership
  • Own product line performance, including revenue growth, profitability, bookings, margin expansion, and market share.
  • Develop and execute product strategies that support annual operating plans and long-term business objectives.
  • Lead pricing strategy, portfolio optimization, and investment prioritization to maximize return on investment.
  • Monitor product financial performance and drive corrective actions to achieve business targets.

Customer & Market Leadership
  • Serve as the voice of the customer and market expert for assigned product portfolios.
  • Build relationships with aerospace OEMs, defense primes, government agencies, and strategic customers.
  • Identify emerging market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer requirements to shape product strategy and growth initiatives.
  • Support strategic pursuits, customer engagements, industry events, and executive business reviews.

Product Strategy & Portfolio Management
  • Develop and maintain product roadmaps aligned to customer needs, technology trends, and business objectives.
  • Build business cases for new product development, technology investments, and portfolio expansion opportunities.
  • Partner with Engineering to ensure roadmap priorities align with customer and business value.

Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Lead cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment without direct reporting authority.
  • Influence stakeholders across Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Sales, Finance, and Program Management to drive execution and achieve business objectives.
  • Align organizational priorities, resolve tradeoffs, and drive decisions that balance customer, operational, and financial requirements.
  • Communicate product strategy, portfolio performance, and growth opportunities to senior leadership.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-marking, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.
  • 7+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Line Management, Business Development, Program Management, or related leadership roles.
  • Aerospace & Defense industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ownership of product line revenue, profitability, pricing strategy, and business performance.
  • Strong customer-facing presence with the ability to engage effectively at both technical and executive levels.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional organizations and drive results in a highly matrixed environment.
