Position Summary...
The Senior Manager, Product Development leads the end-to-end Walmart Brands development lifecycle, partnering cross-functionally to deliver customer-focused solutions that align with seasonal strategies, business objectives, and customer needs. This role owns development execution from concept through commercialization, leveraging customer insights, data, and industry benchmarking to guide development decisions, supplier execution, and seasonal roadmap priorities. The role drives operational excellence, simplified ways of working, and team development while ensuring alignment across Design, Merchandising, Sourcing, Quality, and Supply Chain to support speed-to-market, quality execution, and sustainable business growth.

What you'll do...
  • Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle across seasonal categories from concept to commercialization
  • Own development strategies for Walmart Brands supporting assortment goals, customer expectations, speed-to-market, quality, and financial targets
  • Drive decisions related to specifications, costing, RFQ processes, sampling, supplier selection, and development timelines
  • Partner cross-functionally with Design, Merchandising, Sourcing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Supplier teams to ensure alignment and execution excellence
  • Build and manage seasonal product roadmaps while proactively identifying risks and implementing solutions
  • Drive operational excellence through scalable processes, simplified ways of working, supplier accountability, and continuous improvement initiatives


What you'll bring:
  • Proven expertise in product lifecycle management and product commercialization within retail environments.
  • Strong creative and trend interpretation capabilities with the ability to translate customer insights, market trends, and design direction into commercially viable product solutions that support seasonal assortment strategies.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive alignment on product initiatives.
  • Experience in supplier negotiations and global sourcing collaboration to support business unit strategies.
  • Proficiency in analyzing consumer insights, retail analytics, and trend analysis to inform product strategy.
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis and recommend solutions to resolve product development issues.
  • Excellent communication skills for managing internal and external stakeholder relationships.
  • Commitment to sustainability and ethical sourcing practices.
  • Data analytics and storytelling capabilities to support decision-making and business intelligence.
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience with the ability to coach, develop, and lead high-performing teams while fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced retail environment.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
