POSITION DESCRIPTION, MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS AND HIRING PROFILEPOSITION DESCRIPTION- Position Overview: The Senior Manager, Procurement is responsible for developing and executing upon a strategic approach to the corporate procurement and materials management processes for the purchase of direct and indirect goods and services. In this leadership role, the successful candidate will direct the procurement of goods and services; assist team members and colleagues with procurement processes, develop and/or update procurement policies and procedures; and develop and carry-out a centralized procurement program that will add value and efficiency to the organization, collaborate with key stakeholders across the business to support their purchasing needs, implement systems and process solutions that reduce friction and ensure compliance with policies, identify areas of opportunity to consolidate spend to achieve cost savings and consistency, and identify and eliminate waste. You will have tactical responsibility for the development and implementation of policies, procedures and systems that support the company's acquisition and materials management of goods and services - for both resale, customer integration and internal use. This is a hands-on role that initially is an individual contributor position but it is expected that additional team members will be added as the business grows.
Essential Functions:- Develop and communicate a procurement business plan; establish, communicate and implement long-term goals for the department in order to promote effectiveness and efficiency
- Develop, communicate and administer procurement team performance and development plans and appraisals
- Serve as the primary contact for procurement related questions, training, policy and procedure timeliness and other business needs in collaboration with internal customers
- Proactively identify areas of opportunity via review of financial results, spend by category/vendor and via collaboration with internal users
- Prioritize opportunity areas and lead RFP (formal and informal) processes, negotiate vendor pricing and other terms beneficial to the organization balancing price, quality, and other factors
- Lead initial and renewal contract negotiation and administration
- Track vendor contract expiration / renewal dates and ensure that renewals / extensions are managed pro-actively
- In partnership with internal users, track vendor performance and ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions
- Develop and implement procurement-related training programs for the procurement team and organization.
- Manage current procurement policies, procedures and programs with a focus on their ability to enhance organizational value and efficiency; meet regularly with respective departments regarding procurement for their understanding and/or recommendations to enhance policies, procedures and develop, communicate and implement new/revised policies, procedures and programs as needed
- Implement and serve as the subject matter expert on PO processes and related systems
- Process purchase orders; bids and proposals; and reconcile any invoice discrepancies vs agreed terms
- Working with the Company's M&A team to transition/onboard acquired companies into the Company's procurement processes and systems

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics or related field
- 7-10 years of related experience, with at least 3 years of supervisory experience
- Results-oriented, metrics-driven leader with expertise in purchasing, supplier collaboration, development and compliance
- Experience with sourcing and procurement and building a vendor program
Physical Requirements:- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
- Some light lifting and bending
- Regular travel to the company's locations throughout the USA, vendor conferences, and vendor locations is expected. Travel is estimated at 20% but may vary considerably depending on business needs
- This is an in-office role based in the Company's corporate HQ in the Dallas Ft Worth metroplex
