Purpose of the Role:

The Senior Manager, Procurement Contracts, is responsible for leading all phases of complex contractual negotiations and management. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the alignment of procurement and contract strategies with Worley's overarching goals of sustainability, innovation, and project delivery. The Senior Manager will work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and clients to develop, negotiate, and manage contracts that support the successful execution of energy, chemicals, and resources projects. This position supports Worley's commitment to delivering sustainable solutions by ensuring that contractual obligations are met in a manner that aligns with project and client objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage all phases of contractual undertakings, including the negotiation, preparation, and execution of complex procurement contracts.
• Ensure that all contracts are aligned with Worley's objectives of driving sustainable and innovative solutions within the energy, chemicals, and resources sectors.
• Collaborate closely with clients to manage contracts on their behalf, ensuring clear communication and alignment with their expectations.
• Develop and implement contract management strategies that protect Worley's and its clients' rights while effectively addressing any claims or disputes.
• Manage post-award contract changes, ensuring compliance with agreed terms and protecting the organization's legal and financial interests.
• Identify and engage reliable contractors for consultancy, specialty, and construction services to support project execution.
• Monitor contractor performance to ensure timely delivery of services and adherence to contractual obligations, coordinating the necessary approvals and documentation to support payment processes.
• Provide leadership to procurement teams, ensuring that contract strategies are executed efficiently and meet both project and organizational goals.
• Influence outcomes by providing input on contract terms, contractor selection, and performance metrics, while aligning procurement practices with the company's broader sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications / Skill Set:

University degree in a related field, or equivalent experience in contract management, procurement, or a related discipline.

Extensive experience in contract management, typically gained through 15+ years of working in the energy, chemicals, or resources sectors, including supervisory and project management roles.

Strong knowledge of the principles governing contractual terms and conditions, with the ability to apply this knowledge in the negotiation and management of complex contracts.

Proven experience in managing contract changes, developing claims defense strategies, and engaging legal resources to resolve disputes.

Advanced understanding of procurement systems, processes, and tools, with the ability to troubleshoot and assist others in their use.

Ability to work independently, using self-initiated technical guidance, while ensuring alignment with organizational policies and broader project objectives.

Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence, persuade, and present complex contract proposals to senior-level stakeholders.

A participative management style that fosters collaboration, teamwork, and alignment across procurement and project teams.
