The Senior Manager, Portfolio Marketing, leads the Portfolio Marketing team in developing and executing strategies, narratives, thought leadership, and campaigns that strengthen awareness, engagement, and consideration for the UL Solutions brand and portfolio across strategic industry verticals, emerging technologies, and megatrends. Serves as the bridge between enterprise brand strategy and COU marketing activities, ensuring the breadth of UL Solutions' offerings is represented through compelling portfolio marketing initiatives that support enterprise growth objectives.

Manages and directs the efforts of the Portfolio Marketing team to strengthen awareness, engagement, and consideration for the UL Solutions brand and portfolio across strategic industry verticals, customer challenges, emerging technologies, and megatrends. In alignment with enterprise-defined business Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), develops and deploys portfolio marketing strategies that position UL Solutions as a trusted leader and connect the breadth of UL Solutions' products, services, software, and solutions to relevant market opportunities.

Provides strategic direction for portfolio positioning, customer and market insights, messaging, thought leadership, content strategy, and portfolio campaign development. Serves as the bridge between enterprise brand strategy and COU marketing activities, ensuring a consistent and compelling representation of the UL Solutions portfolio while enabling COU and Field Marketing teams to extend and localize portfolio campaigns.

Leads and develops a team of portfolio marketers responsible for creating portfolio narratives and campaigns that elevate brand awareness, strengthen market credibility, increase audience engagement, and support enterprise growth objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute portfolio marketing strategies that align the UL Solutions portfolio to strategic industry verticals, customer challenges, emerging technologies, and megatrends.
  • Lead the development of integrated portfolio campaigns that strengthen awareness, engagement, and consideration for the UL Solutions brand and portfolio.
  • Translate customer needs, market trends, competitive insights, and emerging opportunities into portfolio marketing priorities, campaigns, and thought leadership initiatives.
  • Define portfolio positioning, messaging frameworks, and market-facing narratives that communicate the value of the UL Solutions portfolio in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Collaborate with Brand Activation, COU Marketing, Field Marketing, Communications, Digital Marketing, Product Management, and Sales to ensure alignment across enterprise, portfolio, and offering-level marketing activities.
  • Establish portfolio thought leadership strategies that reinforce UL Solutions' expertise and credibility across priority industry verticals and megatrend themes.
  • Lead the development of customer, buyer, and market insights, including audience segmentation, buying committee understanding, and customer journey analysis, related to priority industry verticals and megatrends.
  • Manage and develop the Portfolio Marketing team, including prioritization of resources, capability development, performance management, and execution of portfolio marketing initiatives.
  • Establish portfolio marketing measurement frameworks and monitor performance across awareness, engagement, consideration, and related business objectives.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Engineering, Science, Technology, Sustainability, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 8-10 years of experience in portfolio marketing, strategic marketing, brand marketing, product marketing, commercialization, or related disciplines.
  • 5+ years of experience leading and developing high-performing marketing teams in a global, matrixed organization.
  • Proven experience developing and executing integrated marketing strategies, thought leadership initiatives, and multi-channel campaigns.
  • Experience developing portfolio positioning, messaging frameworks, and market-facing narratives for complex products, services, software, and solutions.
  • Strong understanding of customer segmentation, buyer personas, buying committees, customer journey mapping, and market research methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate market insights, industry trends, and customer needs into effective marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Experience collaborating and influencing across Marketing, Communications, Sales, Product Management, and senior leadership teams.
  • Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent presentation, written, verbal communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and project leadership skills.

Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position is $165,000 to $185,000 USD and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 20% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday and personal days (totaling 12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
