Senior Manager, People & Organization- East & Central

About the role:

TheSeniorManager,People&Organization(5&O5) 6East & Central leads the execution of core Human Resources processes withintheFashionboutiques in the market, as well asidentifiesopportunities for specific people strategies. TheSeniorManager, People&Organization 6East & Centralis a key business partner to the Boutique Leadership Teams(5BLT5)inthe market,helping build their leadership skills and driving performance in a human driven way.Primarily based in the DC City Center Boutique, theSeniorManager, P&O 6East & Central, will also support the Tysons, Boston, King of Prussia, Chicago, Troy and New Jersey boutiques.Our ideal candidate will be both hands on and strategic, drawing upon their passion for building relationships and experience in creating effective solutions.

Talent Development and Organizational Structure:

 SupporteachBLT in conducting career discussions with team members, highlighting developmental needs.  Provide input on organizational structure, workforce planning, talentreviewsand succession planning in partnership withGroup Director,P&O for Northeast and SoutheastRegions.  Guide the annual compensation and performance review process for boutiques in the market, providing direction, counsel, and support toeachBLT.  Analyze trends andutilizethe insights gleaned in decision making related to various P&O priorities (i.e.diversity and well-being etc.).

Performance Management:

 Partner with the BLTin each locationto proactivelyidentifyopportunity areas and performance gaps.  Support performance management byprovidingfrequent guidance to BLT (i.e.coaching, counseling, disciplinary actions, and exits). Ensure consistency inhandlingperformance matters and administration of processes, collaborating with BLT and P&O partners asneeded.

Recruitment:

 Champion and accelerate a culture of diversity andinclusion. Forecast hiring needs with BLT, particularly as it relates to peak seasons.Play an active role driving internal mobility Support the Talent Acquisition team in implementingsourcing strategies to build active pipeline, whichmay include organizing andleadinginperson recruitment events forlarge-scalehiring interview days/events, etc.In partnership with Talent Acquisition, supportupskilling hiring managers and interview panels via Hiring @ Our Best Trainings, D&I Anti-Bias Recruitment Trainings, Workday Recruit and LinkedIn Recruiter trainings

EmployeeRelations:

Manage and resolve employee relations issuesin the marketby conductingtimely,effective, thorough, and objective investigations. Consult with the internalEmployee Relations /P&O Team/ Legal Team to ensure consistency inhandlingemployee relations issues.  In collaboration withthe Benefitsteam, manageworkersscompensation issues, leaves of absence and accommodations.

Compliance / Policy / Procedure:

 Continuously build a knowledge of employment best practices, with specific knowledge of Federal/State employment application to include: business process, talent management and development, hiring, employee relations, policies, and procedures, change management, problem solving, meeting design, etc.  Partner closely with Legal, Retail Operations,Asset Protection, Employee Relationsand Total Rewards to establish alignment and respond to inquiries.

What you will bring to the team:

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written), strong relationship building skills as well as the ability to influence and assess situations objectively.
  • Ability to use discretion and independent judgment.
  • Prior HR experience within a Retail/Wholesale environment preferred, with a passion for working regularly on-site in a retail environment.
  • Employee relations experience.
  • Strong detail orientation and ability to prioritize.
  • Comfort with HRIS systems (such as Workday) and performing basic analysis in Excel.

Position Logistics :

  • 7 + years of core HR (HR Generalist) experience required
  • Bachelors degree in related field required.
  • Ability to be in-boutique three (3) days per week. The structure will typically consist of 2 days at in DC City Center and 1 day/week in Tysons, though the exact time in each location will fluctuate based on business needs.
  • Ability to travel to boutiques outside of the DC market as needed

Compensation:

  • Theanticipatedbase salary range for this position is$87,500 through $132,000. Base salary is onecomponentof the total compensation for this position. Other forms of variable pay [may/will] be offered for this position. Other components [may/will] include bonus potential, benefits,and/orperks.
