Reporting to the Chief People Officer (CPO), this role leads a team of HR professionals, collaborates across departments, and ensures effective HR support throughout the organization. The position plays a crucial role in shaping company culture, driving employee engagement, and supporting business goals through strategic HR management.
Essential Job Functions- Lead and mentor the HR team, providing guidance and direction
- Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with organizational goals
- Promote company's Guiding Principles and Core Values
- Guide leaders on HR policies, programs, and best practices
- Oversee recruitment, benefits administration, and HRIS management
- Coordinate management and leadership training initiatives
- Mediate employee relations issues and ensure policy compliance
- Analyze HR metrics and KPIs to evaluate and improve HR initiatives
- Oversee compliance with employment laws and regulations
- Collaborate with legal counsel on HR policy development
- Manage relationships with external HR service providers
- Present HR initiatives and reports to all levels of the organization
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in leadership roles
- HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) preferred
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, laws, and processes
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Proven leadership and strategic planning abilities
- Experience with HRIS and HR analytics
Preferred Qualifications- Master's degree in HR or related field
- Experience in agricultural or related industries
- Proficiency in Spanish (speak/read/write)
- Experience with ADP and Jazz HR systems
- Expertise in diversity and inclusion initiatives
Work EnvironmentThis position is primarily office-based but requires travel (approximately 20%) to various company locations. The role involves frequent interaction with employees at all levels, from entry-level staff to executive leadership. The Senior Manager of HR must be comfortable handling sensitive information with discretion and adapting to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment. Some flexibility in working hours may be necessary to address urgent HR matters or support company-wide initiatives.
