The Senior Manager, People (HR Operations) is a subject-matter expert on Anthem's People Team, responsible for the accuracy, compliance, and day-to-day execution of our core HR operations - benefits, leaves of absence, and employment contract administration - and works in close partnership with the Payroll team in Corporate Accounting to ensure accurate and compliant pay.
This is a hands-on role for someone who loves the back end of HR: the systems, the processes, the details that keep a People Team running smoothly and compliantly. You'll partner closely with all members of the People Team and cross-functional stakeholders across Payroll and Corporate Accounting, Legal, Business Technology and Business Integration, to name a few.

You will
- Own the end-to-end administration of employee benefits programs
- Own leave of absence processes and administration, including parental, medical, and personal leaves
- Own employment contract administration, including offer letters, employment agreements, and amendments
- Serve as one of the key People Team points of contact for payroll, partnering closely with the Payroll team
- Lead cross-functional HR project initiatives, such as HRIS enhancements and process redesigns
- Administer and maintain the HRIS as the system of record for employee data, benefits, leaves, and contracts
- Manage relationships and service levels with external vendors, including benefits carriers
- Champion Anthem's culture in everything you do, in the spirit of The Anthem Way
You have
- 7+ years of progressive HR operations experience, including benefits, leaves of absence, and exposure to payroll processes
- Experience with HRIS systems required; BambooHR experience is an asset
- HR project management experience, with a track record of leading process or systems initiatives
- Strong knowledge of employment standards, benefits regulations, and payroll compliance requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of discretion with confidential information
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership

Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000 depending on background, years of experience and qualifications
