Overview

Who we're looking for

Toyota Financial Services' Payments & Billing Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Senior Manager-Payments & Billing. The primary responsibility of this role is to define and drive the strategic direction of payment modernization across all lines of business, leading initiatives that modernize capabilities, advance transformation and deliver operational excellence across our complex payments landscape.

Reporting to the VP, Payments & Billing, the person in this role will support the Payments & Billing Department's objective to ensure scalable, secure, and efficient payment operations that process 70+ million payments annually, directly impacting the financial health and customer experience of the entire Toyota ecosystem.

What you'll be doing

In this role, you will serve as a strategic leader, partnering with executives and global teams to shape the future of our payment capabilities while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Success means effectively influencing cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-impact solutions that modernize our platforms and drive enterprise-wide value.

  • Define and execute the strategic vision for Payments & Billing, transforming the function into a value-generating capability that drives revenue and cost efficiencies.
  • Partner with the business, operations, and technology leadership to deliver scalable payment solutions.
  • Lead a portfolio of strategic initiatives, from targeted process improvements to large-scale ecosystem transformations.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships across treasury, legal, risk, and external stakeholders to advance enterprise payment capabilities and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Lead, coach, develop a high-performing team, build deep subject matter expertise and foster a culture of collaboration and operational excellence.
  • Clearly communicate complex business strategies and present business cases to the Executive Committee to secure alignment on enterprise priorities.


What you bring

  • A four-year college degree, such as a BA or BS
  • 12+ years of progressive and relevant experience in payments, billing, and/or cash management where you have successfully led complex initiatives.
  • Deep knowledge of the digital payments' ecosystem and processes, with practical experience across multiple payment rails (ACH, cards, wires, etc).
  • Progressive and relevant experience with payment related compliance (Nacha, PCI-DSS, card brand rules), merchant banking, and payment gateways.
  • Deep understanding of payments technology architecture and delivery, with ability to partner effectively with technology leadershi
