Summary Description:

The Senior Manager, Operations Finance, is responsible for the management of monthly reporting, forecasting, annual budget and various other routine or ad hoc financial analysis and reporting tools critical to Refresco North America Operations Plant Finance team that supports a network of 30+ plants. The role management responsibilities include the creation and continual enhancement of reporting tools to meet evolving business processes and information reporting requirements, tool and process training and compilation final reporting outputs for approximately 30 plant sites and Supply Chain Finance inputs. Reporting outputs managed by this role support the larger Refresco North America Finance team (Accounting/Standard Costing & FPA), Operations, Engineering, HR and Commercialization.

This position has a heavy emphasis on process optimization and automation and this role partners with cross functionally leadership teams to support in the delivery of financial outputs that support cross functional target tracking and operational process improvement and streamlining to continually deliver improved cost reporting visibility.

The position has 2 direct reports and works closely with the Supply Chain Finance team, Commercial Finance team, FP&A Finance team, Supply Chain and Operations, Engineering, Human Resources and Procurement teams. This position reports to the VP Finance, Operations and Supply Chain Refresco North America.

Specific Responsibilities:

The following are essential duties and responsibilities for this position:

Financial Reporting & Analysis and Budgeting and Controls & Continuous Improvement:

Responsible for the management, distribution and continuous improvement of manufacturing financial reporting, cost savings, and analysis tools used by the Finance and Operations teams to support business decision making. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Own/Manage the monthly North America manufacturing reporting and analysis by plant and by manufacturing cost drivers for multiple scenarios including actual, budget, and prior year. Work with the Operations Supply Chain Finance team to use reporting to highlight areas of concern for timely plant and management actions and required month end reporting. Distribute all Plant Finance reporting on a timely basis across multiple levels and functions of the organization. Work with Plant Controllers, Accounting and IT to highlight areas of non-standardization cost reporting to be addressed for month end reporting finalization.
  • Own the delivery of non-plant/accounting operations activity month end analysis and commentary such as Headcount reporting, Plant line performance, capital spend tracking and reconciliation.
  • Own/manage the annual budget and forecasting tools and overall process from start to finish for the North American manufacturing plants including plant level budgeting, regional/BU consolidation, and cause of change analysis. This will also include partnering with the Finance Directors, Plant Regional Controllers & Controllers and Supply Chain Finance and financial planning and analysis teams to deliver process requirements. Act as the primarily contact for all manufacturing budget matters, communication and managing deliverables. Support the VP Finance Operations & Supply Chain in communicating effectively across the organization.
  • Manage the integration of new plants and/or new reporting views into all reporting tools
  • Manage the creation of the annual pro-forma operations information used for FG standards
  • The development of new and/or improved weekly/ monthly financial reporting and cost validation/visibility tools for plant manufacturing. This includes, but not limited to:
    • Automating/Optimizing reporting (ad-hoc and period end), accuracy and timeliness through tools such as Power BI, BW, SAP & Excel.
    • Support Operations Finance cost trend/visibility capabilities with developing Financial KPI's for manufacturing cost trends.
  • Manage other ad hoc reporting, process optimization, development and other projects as required


Commercial Bid/Pricing Support:

Manage the team providing first level manufacturing cost information to the Commercial Finance team, as it relates to the commercial bid and pricing process. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Create variable and fixed cost manufacturing costs matrices and assumptions to enable visibility and sharing of plant manufacturing costs and the key drivers to support the commercial and co-pack bid/pricing process. Specific areas of focus include product and package type cost detail, cost per line and machine hours.
  • Offer training and promote best practice sharing to help partners understand manufacturing costs drivers and cost builds.


Capital Process Support:

Support the monthly Engineering capital/cash flow reporting processes and provide support for the annual operations capital budget process.

Business Support & Training:

Train & educate operational business partners and other internal customers on best practices and system enhancements. This could include, but not limited to:

  • Provide training & documentation on critical Operations Finance reporting tools created and managed by Operations Finance Reporting team.
  • Maintain and enhance Operations & Supply Chain Finance knowledge repository to meet evolving team information needs & training.


Staff Management/People Development:

Manage and direct the activities of 2 to 3 direct reports local and/or remote whose primary responsibilities are:

  • financial reporting and analysis and monthly reporting/forecasting/budgeting activities for Operations Finance
  • preparing annual manufacturing rates for FG standards, providing manufacturing inputs for bid costing,
  • support monthly and annual operations capital budget processes.
  • Support plant manufacturing line performance and HR Headcount reporting by plant

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Experience with SAP 6.0
  • Highly proficient in Excel and able to work in and learn other software applications i.e. Power BI
  • Strong finance and analytical skills

Education and Experience:

  • Undergraduate in Finance or Accounting required; CPA/MBA preferred

  • Experience working in an SAP environment


Working Requirements:

  • Based in Tampa with minimal travel requirements
