Full Job Description
As our Senior Manager of Solution Consulting, you'll lead a team of expert Solution Consultants across the Strategic Commercial - Expansions Team. The team you'll lead will be instrumental in translating the Workiva platform into compelling value for our customers.

In addition to contributing individually, you'll guide your team on best practices in their technical and business acumen but also act as a crucial strategic partner to our sales & GTM organization - ensuring our solutions accelerate market expansion and revenue growth in the region.

What You'll Need

Strategic Leadership & Vision
  • Develop and execute a strategic vision to align cross-functional teams and enable consulting teams to drive essential sales initiatives
  • Contribute to the development of strategies, tools, and metrics to drive overall organizational growth and lead strategic projects aligned with the organization's mission
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, providing insights on account planning and presales strategies
  • Foster technical thought leadership in areas like architecture, processes, and operationalization to encourage adoption by technical stakeholders during the sales process


Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead a team of Solution Consultants, maximizing their potential to support Workiva's sales objectives
  • Oversee the complete employee lifecycle, from recruitment to performance management
  • Maintain the Solution Consulting team's training and motivation to ensure goal attainment
  • Define opportunities for coaching and skill development for Solution Consulting team members


Operational Excellence & Best Practices
  • Establish best practices, offer guidance in technical expertise, customer understanding, and organizational goals
  • Create and optimize processes, metrics, and infrastructure to enhance team productivity and achieve team goals
  • Manage resource allocation, conflict resolution, and feedback collection on sales opportunities, product features, competition, and methodologies


Presales & Customer Engagement
  • Provide comprehensive presales support for all sales activities, encompassing needs analysis, data review, product demonstrations, and general sales support, taking on a player/coach role
  • Collaborate with product engineering and product marketing teams to develop and launch industry-specific and business solutions, offering technical guidance as required


Company Growth & Collaboration
  • Participate in team-building and company growth activities, including strategy development, sales training, marketing efforts, and enhancing the customer experience


What You'll Need

Minimum Qualifications
  • 4 years of direct people management experience, including supervisory experience of supervisor and/or individual contributors
  • Experience in accounting, finance, and/or reporting either directly or through prior Pre-Sales experience
  • Undergraduate degree with 8 years related experience, or Master's degree with minimum of 6 years related experience, or PhD with 4 years related experience


Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to discuss technical terminology and best practices for SaaS applications
  • Ability to identify and resolve development, marketing, or sales obstacles through strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to understand, empathize, and propose solutions to customers' business challenges, and mentor the team members on doing the same
  • Strong business background, with significant client interface experience and exposure to business development
  • Hands-on experience with Workiva solutions preferred
  • Experience with enterprise applications such as SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, IBM and cloud applications such as Host Analytics, Anaplan, Salesforce, etc is a plus
  • Proven track record of building, leading, and mentoring a high performing team


Travel Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% for team and corporate meetings, fostering relationships and representing company interests
  • Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely, as we embrace flexible work arrangements


How You'll Be Rewarded
• On Target Earnings (OTE) range in the US: 196,000.00 - 315,000.00 USD Annual
• Eligible for commission based on sales performance
• Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire
