What You Will Be Doing: The Senior Manager of Data Engineering will be responsible for overseeing the data engineering and operations functions. Play a critical role in driving the development and maintenance of data infrastructure, ensuring the availability, reliability, and scalability of data systems, and leading a team of data engineers and operations personnel.
What We're Looking For: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience (10+ years) in data engineering, data operations, or a related field, with progressively increasing responsibilities typically required.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Extensive experience with data engineering technologies and tools, such as ETL/ELT frameworks, data pipelines, and data integration platforms. (eg : Qlik, Snowflake etc)
- Knowledge of dbtLabs, Astronomer, Github, Reltio, Qlik Replicate is preferred
- In-depth knowledge of data management principles, including data modeling, database design, and data governance.
- Expertise in cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, with hands-on experience in deploying and managing data infrastructure in the cloud.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, or Scala for data manipulation and scripting.
- Experience with big data technologies, such as Hadoop, Spark, or NoSQL databases.
- Strong understanding of data security, privacy, and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze complex data engineering challenges and propose effective solutions.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
