What You Will Do: - Lead and manage a diverse portfolio of financial, accounting, and compliance consulting projects, with a primary focus on nonprofit organizations.
- Oversee end-to-end project management, including planning, execution, and supervision of engagements related to process improvement, operational assessments, compliance, and financial reporting.
- Review and support accounting outsourcing services, including:
- Preparation of general ledger entries and financial statements
- Month-end and year-end close processes
- Account and bank reconciliations
- Audit readiness and support
- Conduct operational and financial assessments of clients' grants management, finance functions, internal controls, and related policies and procedures.
- Lead the development and implementation of financial and operational policies and procedures tailored to client needs.
- Participate in evaluations of Federal and State grant compliance, as well as other regulatory requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client engagements, managing communication, scheduling, and relationship development.
- Perform industry and technical research to support the development of innovative client solutions
- Leverage technology and best practices to enhance internal project workflows and client deliverables.
- Support business development efforts, including lead qualification, proposal development, and client relationship expansion.
- Utilize tools such as Outlook and social media platforms for client communications, including email campaigns and content distribution.
- Mentor, develop, and manage junior staff, fostering professional growth and ensuring high-quality project delivery.
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field
- 7+ years of relevant experience in nonprofit accounting, public accounting and/or consulting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications: - Master's Degree
- Background in consulting, nonprofit financial leadership (CFO level), or public accounting
- Current and valid CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license
