This role will serve as a trusted insights advisor to U.S. Parkinson's Disease leadership, leveraging a deep understanding of customers, patients, the marketplace, and brand performance to identify business opportunities and guide strategy for a new product launch in Parkinson's Disease.
The Senior Manager, Marketing Research and Analytics will design, implement, manage, analyze, and effectively communicate a broad range of market research and analytics initiatives.
Responsibilities will include identifying key business questions, developing research and analytical plans, selecting appropriate methodologies, managing research and analytics partners, and synthesizing insights across multiple data sources. The role will also develop and deploy analytical solutions based on business needs and support the measurement of brand strategies and tactics at both the national and sub-national levels. The ability to influence decisions through thoughtful analysis, customer and marketplace understanding, and strong business judgment will be critical to success.
The Senior Manager will act as an insights and intelligence partner to brand leadership and cross-functional teams, helping to formulate commercial strategy, identify tactical opportunities, uncover unmet customer and patient needs, and inform key launch-planning decisions.
The individual will lead insight discovery through qualitative and quantitative market research, secondary data analysis, and advanced analytics. The role will also develop metrics and measurement frameworks for evaluating and improving marketing and promotional campaigns, customer engagement initiatives, and broader brand performance.
This role will collaborate closely with key APEX partners, including Patient Services and Market Access, as well as other cross-functional partners and internal stakeholders such as Marketing, Finance, Sales, Medical Affairs, and Commercial Operations. The Senior Manager will design and implement research, reporting, analytics, and optimization solutions while integrating insights across functions to provide commercial teams with a holistic perspective and clear, actionable recommendations.
3131Serve as analytics partner to the US Parkinson's Disease team- and offer a wide variety of analytics solutions - ranging from reporting and tracking to advanced analytics in support of key business questions and strategies.3131Derive findings and implications from patient, physician or account/practice analytics to strengthen commercial understanding of market dynamics, brand performance, and key opportunities; serve as a key contributor to the quarterly business review, annual brand planning processes; and develop fact-based recommendations to optimize performance. 3131Determine sub-national (accounts or physicians) drivers of brand performance, providing drill downs and diagnostics to performance dynamics driven by customer behavior to assist the brand in understanding performance.3131Leverage innovative, sophisticated analytic models that address critical issues but also meet key business criteria (e.g. cost, risk, business impact) and key technical criteria (e.g. reliability, validity, and predictability).3131Demonstrate a strong understanding of syndicated and AbbVie proprietary data, data science and modeling techniques and the ability to synthesize insights into compelling narratives. Is highly proficient at supplier and stakeholder management, to drive compelling learnings, and formulate analytical strategies appropriate for the key business questions3131Inform the brand planning process based on a deep understanding of all stages of the patient journey, as well as stakeholder influences throughout the journey. Develop plans to prioritize and address insights gaps.3131Possess a curiosity and openness to new insight methodologies and a drive to expand the toolkit to better serve the business.3131Ensure all marketing research and analytics activities are conducted in accordance with financial and ethical compliance guidelines.
3131Bachelor's Degree required, Advanced degree preferred.31317+ years of relevant experience in healthcare market research & analytics, including use of this information in the development of business plans and strategies. Experience within the Pharma/Biotech industry is required. 3131Strong analytical reasoning abilities, intellectual curiosity, strong business acumen, and creativity in problem solving.3131Advanced experience with 3rd party pharmaceutical data sources like IQVIA/SHS Sales and Claims Data (APLD, PTD, Xponent, NSP (National Sales Perspective), NPA), and Specialty pharmacy data are preferred.3131Experience with current methods Analytics/Machine Learning, BI tools like Power BI or Tableau in addition to Excel is required. Hands-on expertise in current analytical methods & tools (including machine learning) is a plus.3131Advanced communication and influencing skills: Comfortable in collaborating and influencing integrated brand team members and communicating /influencing/presenting to senior management.3131Advanced agility, project management, and prioritization skills3131Advanced vendor management skills3131High motivation, strong work-ethic and positive attitude while working under tight timelines3131Proven experience as an integral member of a high performing work team.
