Job Summary:

The Management Consulting Senior Manager will support LEAN Transformation in both Private Equity and Corporate Clients with emphasis on EBIDTA enhancement. The expectation is to deliver high value solutions to multiple clients in the areas of:
• Operational Value Creation
• Technology Enablement
• Pre/Post Deal Support

In this role, the Senior Manager is charged with leading teams of professionals through all potential project stages of diagnostic, planning, solution design and solution delivery to include managing engagement economics, accurate status reporting, quality control and legal risks to the Firm. The Senior Manager is also responsible for developing new business with existing clients and prospects of the Firm, including the identification of target companies. This position will require a combination of on-site work, office collaboration and work from home based on client needs and business development responsibilities.

This role works a sporadic and fluctuating schedule.

Job Duties:
• Acts as a Project Leader or assistant Project Leader responsible for planning and overseeing projects and applying knowledge of BDO standards to ensure effective and efficient delivery of quality services, including:
o On operational due diligence projects: synergy or deal value driver analysis, and operational risk identification
o On integration projects: integration strategy definition, and integration planning and execution
o On carve-out projects: stand-alone cost analysis, carve-out strategy definition, carve-out planning and execution, and Transition Services Agreement (TSA) definition
o On PE-related projects: 100-day and value creation planning and execution
• Acts as a contact for the client and target company personnel for the duration of the project
• Identifies and proposes appropriate resolutions on a timely basis for critical issues related to the transaction
• Assists project leaders manage the relationship and information flow between BDO, the client, and the target company
• Identifies and understands business development opportunities through industry and networking relationships and works with leaders to pursue such opportunities
• Assists with the development of proposal documents, and conducting presentations in pursuit of acquiring new clients
• Partners with peers in other business lines to identify and promote the services of the operational value creation team to existing and prospective clients, in addition to identifying cross-selling opportunities to other BDO business lines
• Other duties as required

Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Schedules and supervises the tasks and project assignments of Senior Associates and Analysts
• Reviews work product, and provides review comments and edits, as necessary
• Partners with leaders within the OVC segment to provide verbal and written performance feedback throughout the fiscal year and as part of the annual performance review process
• Supports a collaborative and team-oriented environment, while encouraging strong results and quality work

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Analysis, or Engineering, required
• MBA, preferred

Experience:
• Eight (8) or more years of related work experience in company roles that included continuous improvement, required
• Three (3) or more years in a comparable consulting practice, preferred
• Proven track record with meeting and/or exceeding business development targets, required
o Capable of independently generating demand
o Experience selling internally to build relationships within the firm that are then used to generate demand with existing clients
o Experience with selling to both external clients and internal stakeholders
o Possess existing external client relationships and history of strong sales
• Multiple instances of client project delivery experience in three (3) or more of these areas, required:
o Supply Chain Strategy & Transformation
o LEAN Design and Implementation
o Six Sigma Implementation
o Theory of Constraints
o Supply Chain Operations
o Supply Chain Analytics & Visibility
• Experience in client marketing and successfully managing multiple client pursuits and proposal efforts, preferred
• Experience with project management, change management, stakeholder management, gap analysis, process design, workflow analysis, organization design and development, lean concepts, documentation and testing of new business capabilities and tools, business cases and identification and reporting of opportunities, preferred

License/Certifications:
• Certifications relevant to the supply chain space and/or continuous improvement space, such as APICS, CSCMP, Registered Professional Engineer, LEAN or LEAN Master or others, preferred
• Six Sigma certifications (e.g. Green, Black, or Master Black Belt), preferred

Software:
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Power Point, required
• Familiarity with various supply chain IT solutions preferred (Warehouse Management Systems, Source to Pay Systems, Network optimization tools, Planning and Forecasting tools), preferred
• Proficiency MS Visio, Minitab (or equivalent) for Process Analysis, preferred

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Superior verbal and written communication skills, specifically business / report writing
• Ability to adapt style and messaging to effectively communicate with professionals at all levels both within the client organization and the firm
• Ability to collaborate with principals and managers within other service lines and industries, as well as Advisory leaders
• Superior analytical and diagnostic skills and ability to break down complex issues and implementing appropriate resolutions
• Capable of working in a demanding, deadline driven environment with a focus on details and accuracy
• Solid project management skills
• Solid grasp of general IT solution development and control concepts (leading practices)
• Excellent people development and delegation skills, including training/instruction and engagement scheduling and budgeting
• Executive presence to act as primary contact for clients while preparing and presenting to clients and potential clients
• Capable of resolving complex business issues and proactive problem solving
• Capacity to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and client personnel
• Ability to travel 30% - 50% on average, as needed
