What does a Senior Maintenance Manager do at Swire Coca-Cola?
Directs, manages and holds accountable all maintenance employees. Directs and implements all maintenance programs for building and machinery in an orderly, efficient and professional manner. Keeps accurate records of department activities and budgets. Assures the operation of safe and functionally sound machinery. Directs all major equipment rebuilding and overhauls. Working with government regulatory agencies, or other responsibilities as assigned.

Responsibilities:
  • Assumes responsibility for the effective and efficient performance of all maintenance related functions. Supervises routine and preventive maintenance on all production and building equipment. Implement and schedule a preventive maintenance system. Resolves issues promptly and effectively. Plans and coordinates equipment rebuilds and overhauls. Budgets-recommend and control expense budgets Capital expenditures recommendations
  • Effectively supervises the maintenance department staff, ensuring optimal performance. Interviews, hires, directs, and terminates maintenance personnel. Ensures that maintenance staff is appropriately trained. Conducts performance appraisals as required
  • Provides regular feedback to maintenance personnel regarding performance of duties as outlined in job descriptions and maintains personnel files. Provides leadership and motivation to staff through effective delegation, goal setting and communication. Holds employees accountable
  • Formulates and implements employee corrective actions as needed. Ensures compliance with Company policies, safety regulations, and assures their understanding and support of the Swire Mission Statement and Core values
  • Assumes responsibility for the effective administration and coordination of department functions. Maintains accurate departmental, equipment, and budget records. Monitors budget. Maintains an adequate supply of spare parts in stock. Monitors usage of supplies and parts. Keeps management informed of area activities and any significant issues and concerns
  • Establishes and maintains an effective working relationship with department employees, other production center managers, and production line supervisors in order to resolve outstanding issues or corrective actions
  • Assumes responsibility for safe and clean maintenance operations. Ensures that company safety standards are maintained and met. Ensures that work area is clean, safe, and in accordance with OSHA regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in manufacturing engineering required or related field required
  • High School Diploma (or GED) additional experience (see below) required
  • Strong understanding of the plant production systems and equipment, including electrical, plumbing, water handling, mechanical, automation etc.
  • Strong knowledge of industry maintenance standards for manufacturing of food grade products
  • 4+ years of leadership experience in managing teams of Maintenance associates. required and
  • 10+ years of leadership experience in managing teams of Maintenance associates
  • KO KORE and ISO quality standards in a soft drink environment
  • SAP preventive maintenance module
  • Knowledge of good manufacturing practices and food safety requirements
