Job Summary

Provides strategic leadership for maintenance and facilities operations, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient performance of equipment, infrastructure, and utilities while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  • Maintain production and facility assets through preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs while driving Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) to improve reliability and operator ownership.
  • Develop maintenance team capability through skills assessments, training programs, and technical certifications to support equipment reliability and operational readiness.
  • Control maintenance and utility costs through asset reliability programs, root cause analysis, optimized spare parts inventory, equipment improvements, and energy reduction initiatives.
  • Ensure facility safety and security through infrastructure planning, risk mitigation, and compliance programs, including fire protection, traffic management, access control, and site security measures.
  • Ensure contractor safety and compliance by overseeing maintenance-related activities, enforcing site safety requirements, and coordinating hazard identification and mitigation programs.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental local, state and federal regulations through the management, maintenance, testing, and inspection of pollution control systems and emissions control equipment.
  • Ensure operator safety through machine safeguarding, risk assessments, safety-focused process design, and compliance with equipment safety standards and procedures.
  • Ensure a safe work environment through OSHA compliance, safety program leadership, policy implementation, and integration of safety standards into plant operations.
  • Capital Planning: Develop and execute capital plans, asset lifecycle strategies, and investment priorities for facilities, utilities, and production equipment to optimize reliability, lifecycle costs, and return on investment.
  • Budget Management: Manage maintenance and facilities budgets, forecasts, and capital expenditures while optimizing costs, improving asset performance, and supporting operational efficiency.


Skills and Minimum Experience Required

  • 6+ years of progressive maintenance and facilities leadership experience.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, resources, schedules, and capital projects while achieving operational goals.
  • Strong expertise in mechanical, electrical, automation, facilities, EHS, quality, risk management, and engineering standards.
  • Demonstrated success building and leading high-performing teams, driving safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to assess risks and act effectively under pressure.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, effectively collaborating with employees, contractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
