The Role:

Our sites in Chaska and Bloomington, MN are seeking a Senior Manager, HR Business Partner to join our team. As a Senior Manager, HR Business Partner you will support ~500 salaried and hourly employees and serve as a trusted advisor to site leadership teams, helping to address organizational challenges, reinforce accountability, and build a high-performing, scalable workforce. This role provides HR leadership across our Minnesota sites, with day-to-day partnership focused on Chaska and leadership oversight for HR support in Bloomington. The ideal candidate will bring strong business acumen, experience in complex manufacturing environments, and a proven ability to influence behavior change at all levels of the organization.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide strategic HR partnership to Minnesota site leadership, with primary day-to-day support for Chaska and leadership oversight for Bloomington HR priorities.


  • Lead and develop HR team members supporting Minnesota, including an HR Business Partner focused on Bloomington and an HR Coordinator supporting HR activities across the state.


  • Translate business strategy into clear data driven HR priorities, actions, and initiatives that support site performance and growth


  • Serve as the onsite contact for all APS employees in Chaska, including those outside the Operations, and ensure that issues are managed properly considering urgency, compliance, and other competing priorities


  • Partner with plant and functional leaders to strengthen leadership effectiveness, accountability, and execution discipline; Drive change management efforts, ensuring adoption of new processes, systems, and ways of working


  • Act as a catalyst for culture transformation, addressing behaviors that limit performance (e.g., resistance to change, inconsistent process adherence, reliance on workarounds)


  • Support and guide organizational design and development efforts that improve end-to-end accountability and cross-functional collaboration


  • Coach leaders on performance management, employee relations, and leadership effectiveness, ensuring consistent application of policies and expectations


  • Partner with Centers of Excellence to implement programs that build capability and reinforce desired behaviors


  • Be a servant leader with direct labor teams by being visible during all shifts (24/7 shift schedule) and building strategic relationships across all levels to ensure a true understanding of the operations teams.


What We Seek:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, preferably Human Resource, Organizational Design, or related field.


  • At least 8 years previous experience in an employee facing HR Business Partner role in a manufacturing environment


  • At least 3 years of people leadership experience


  • Ability to work nights and weekends as needed to support the 24/7 manufacturing team


  • Ability to work with confidential documents and understand the importance of confidentiality and appropriate use of access to information.


  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, as appropriate for the needs of the audience


  • Ability to deal effectively with a diverse group of individuals and tailor messages to best suit the situation.


  • Ability to work on projects with general direction and minimal guidance, both on a team and individually


  • Calm under pressure, able to navigate complexity without losing clarity
