The Opportunity

As Dentalcorp continues to grow, we are establishing a centralized HR Advisory Services function to provide consistent, scalable employee relations support across our national network.

As Senior Manager, HR Advisory Services, you will build and lead this new function, setting service standards, case management practices, escalation pathways, and quality expectations while overseeing complex workplace advisory matters.

Working within an established governance model, you will partner with HR, Legal, Compliance, Privacy, Operations, and other stakeholders to support fair, timely, and well-documented outcomes.

Who You Are

You are an experienced HR leader with deep employee relations expertise, sound judgment, discretion, and a calm, objective approach to sensitive workplace matters.

You assess complex cases, determine appropriate paths within policy and delegated authority, communicate clearly, and build trusted relationships across functions and levels.

As a people leader, you set clear expectations, coach others, and are energized by building scalable practices through growth and change.

In This Role, You Will
  • Build and lead the HR Advisory Services function, including team coaching, service standards, operating procedures, case management practices, escalation pathways, tools, templates, and guidance resources.
  • Oversee complex employee relations and workplace advisory matters, including performance, conduct, accommodations, disability management, workers' compensation, investigations, return-to-work matters, and terminations.
  • Review complex or sensitive cases, make advisory decisions within approved authority, and ensure recommendations, outcomes, and records are clear and well documented.
  • Escalate matters involving significant employee impact, legal or regulatory considerations, policy exceptions, precedent-setting decisions, or issues outside delegated authority.
  • Partner with People Business Partners, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and other stakeholders to resolve complex matters.
  • Monitor case trends, escalation patterns, and resolution timelines to identify risks, policy gaps, and service improvement opportunities.
  • Translate insights into stronger advisory practices, clearer processes, preventative actions, and People & Culture improvements.

What You'll Bring
  • Eight or more years of progressive Human Resources experience, with significant depth in employee relations is required.
  • Three or more years of experience leading, coaching, or providing functional oversight to Human Resources professionals is required.
  • Experience managing complex employee relations matters, investigations, accommodations, disability management, workers' compensation, and other sensitive workplace issues, with knowledge of related employment legislation is required.
  • Sound judgment, with the ability to make practical recommendations, operate within defined authority, and escalate appropriately.
  • Experience establishing or improving HR advisory practices, case management processes, tools, or service delivery models.
  • Experience partnering with senior HR leaders, legal counsel, and cross-functional stakeholders, with strong communication and recommendation-writing skills.
  • The ability to interpret case and service data, identify trends, and recommend practical improvements.
  • A post-secondary degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business, Law, or a related discipline is required; CHRL designation preferred.
  • Workplace investigation certification is considered a strong asset.

The salary range for this position is $115,000 CAD to $135,000 CAD annually (plus a bonus of up to 15% and competitive total rewards and benefits package). Offers within this range are determined based on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications, as well as internal equity considerations. This job posting is for a new opportunity.

You will be based at our Toronto Support Centre, located at 181 Bay Street in the heart of Toronto's financial district. This position will be on site from Monday to Thursday, with Fridays designated as work-from-home days.
