Position SummaryThe Senior Manager, Growth Strategy plays a key role in identifying and advancing new business growth opportunities within CVS Pharmacy. This individual will evaluate market trends, customer needs, business performance, and competitive insights to develop strategic recommendations that inform leadership decisions and support long-term growth.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who can solve complex business challenges, communicate effectively with senior leaders, and collaborate across teams to turn ideas into actionable business initiatives.
Roles & Responsibilities- Lead strategic projects to evaluate and develop new growth opportunities across the pharmacy business.
- Build business cases and recommendations by analyzing customer, market, operational, financial, and competitive data.
- Translate complex information into clear insights and executive-level presentations to support decision-making.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align on opportunities, define implementation plans, and support early-stage testing of new concepts.
- Monitor industry trends, emerging market opportunities, and competitive activity to identify potential areas for business growth.
Required Qualifications- 7+ years of experience in strategy, management consulting, corporate development, business planning, or a related field.
- Proven experience developing business cases and strategic recommendations based on quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders through data-driven insights and effective communication.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, with experience managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications- 10+ years of experience in healthcare, retail pharmacy, or a related industry.
- Experience leading strategic growth initiatives from concept through implementation.
- 3+ years of post-MBA experience in management consulting.
- Healthcare strategy or healthcare consulting experience.
- Experience working within large, matrixed organizations.
Education- Bachelor's degree in Business, Strategy, Finance, Economics, Healthcare Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:
$82,940.00 - $182,549.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
