Senior Manager, Forensic Accounting- Litigation & Insurance Accounting

Department: Forensic Accounting

Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time

Location: Calgary

Reporting To: Scott Schellenberg

Description

This employee will be ale to manage assignments of any size from start to finish subject to final review of partner. Individual is capable of attending file meetings and effectively communicating analysis results to clients. This employee will have the ability to manage an office or business segment without any direct supervision. They will participate in the management of an office with existing partner, principal or officer and may have access to certain financial information regarding that office's performance.

What You'll Bring to the Role

A Senior Manager will have developed an extensive knowledge and application of
  • Insurance Loss Accounting Principles
  • Loss quantification methods and damage quantification techniques

A Senior Manager will have developed investigative accounting skills to complete losses of all sizes and complexity to:
  • Identify relevant information to assess issues
  • Identify key and significant issues
  • Manage complete and accurate analysis to fully assess relevant issues
  • Train and mentor junior staff

A Senior Manager will have developed a good working knowledge of:
  • Relevant rules of Civil Procedure
  • Professional standards and code of ethics associated with insurance and litigation accounting assignments
  • Various quantification approaches and professional standards
  • The court system and the expert's role in the litigation process

A Senior Manager will have obtained one of the following accounting designations: CPA, CA, CMA, ACA, ACMA, ACCA

A Senior Manager will have developed a clientele that will keep at least 2 to 3 professional staff billable.
