Role Purpose

The Manager, Facility Engineering is a senior engineering leader responsible for the strategic direction, technical stewardship, and long-term performance of facility infrastructure and building systems across the Workplace Services portfolio. This role leads multiple engineering disciplines and is accountable for infrastructure strategy, asset reliability, engineering standards, and organizational capability across multiple campuses and buildings.

Reporting within Facility Operations, Engineering & Capital Management, the Manager provides leadership to the Electrical & Controls, Facility Engineering, and HVAC Engineering teams while partnering with business, divisional, operations, EHS, finance, and capital management leaders to align infrastructure investments with business objectives.

The successful candidate will bring broad engineering and leadership experience, demonstrated success leading managers, and the ability to influence strategic decisions across a complex, matrixed environment. Experience spanning multiple divisions, facilities, technologies, or manufacturing environments is strongly desired.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic planning, performance, and continuous improvement of facility infrastructure and building systems across multiple campuses and facilities.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Electrical & Controls, Facility Engineering, and HVAC Engineering teams.
  • Develop and execute long-range infrastructure strategies that align with business priorities, operational requirements, and capital planning objectives.
  • Establish and maintain engineering standards, governance, and technical stewardship to support safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
  • Drive asset reliability and lifecycle planning initiatives to optimize infrastructure performance and long-term value.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders, including operations, EHS, finance, capital management, and business leaders, to prioritize investments and ensure alignment with enterprise goals.
  • Influence strategic decision-making across a complex, matrixed environment by providing engineering expertise, business insight, and organizational leadership.
  • Build organizational capability through talent development, succession planning, and leadership coaching across engineering teams.
  • Lead or support transformation initiatives, engineering standardization efforts, and enterprise-wide improvement programs.
  • Balance near-term operational needs with long-term business growth, infrastructure resilience, and future readiness.


Experiences/Education - Required

  • Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of progressive engineering and leadership experience in facilities, infrastructure, manufacturing, technical operations, or related environments.
  • Demonstrated experience leading managers and multi-disciplinary engineering organizations.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute long-range strategies aligned with business objectives.


Experiences/Education - Desired

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Business, or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or other relevant technical certification.
  • Experience across multiple divisions, businesses, technologies, manufacturing facilities, research environments, or corporate infrastructure organizations.
  • Demonstrated success leading engineering strategies and roadmaps supporting long-term business growth.
  • Experience leading organizational transformation, engineering standardization, or enterprise-wide improvement initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of strategic business planning, portfolio management, and infrastructure governance processes.

The range for this position is $169,173.00 - $232,613.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
