Your Opportunity

BDO Canada is looking for a Senior Manager to join the Expatriate Tax Services team, this is for existing vacancy where the successful candidate will own the following responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and training to the team in the preparation of Canadian and US individual tax returns
  • Review of Canadian and US individual income tax returns
  • Day to day expatriate tax advice, including queries on items such as individual relocations, payroll benefit taxation and reporting etc.
  • Various additional expatriate tax consulting duties which include researching income tax issues and reviewing memoranda or clients letters in the area of executive compensation, global equity plans, policy design and other expatriate tax issues
  • Work closely with the Partner in charge of the practice to develop and support the team
  • Explore future business opportunities with partners across Canada with respect to their clients
  • Engage in business development initiatives to further grow the practice

Your experience and education
  • You have your professional CPA designation
  • You have 7 or more years of professional experience, part or all of which specializing in Expatriate Tax
  • You have excellent verbal and written communications skills (French as well as English is an asset)
  • You have the ability to collaborate with team members nationally
  • You are interested in contributing to the training and development of team members.


The expected range of compensation for this role is: $ 125,000 to $ 175,000
