About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced compensation leader to drive the strategy, design, governance, and execution of Affirm's executive compensation programs. This role will help ensure our executive compensation philosophy supports business growth, attracts and retains top talent, and reinforces a high-performance culture.

What You'll Do:
  • Lead the strategy, design, governance, and execution of Affirm's executive compensation programs, including base salary structures, annual incentives, and equity programs.
  • Partner with senior leaders to align compensation programs with business priorities, operational goals, values, and culture.
  • Lead the ongoing evaluation, enhancement, and administration of executive compensation programs to ensure market competitiveness, scalability, and operational effectiveness.
  • Analyze market trends, compensation practices, and economic conditions to develop recommendations that support talent and business objectives.
  • Partner closely with Compensation Operations to ensure efficient program delivery, administration, and governance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across People, Finance, Legal, and business leadership to solve complex compensation challenges and drive successful program implementation.
  • Develop communication and education strategies that enable leaders and employees to understand and effectively leverage compensation programs.
  • Oversee compensation tools, systems, and processes to improve data quality, efficiency, and employee experience.
  • Lead executive compensation analyses and support the preparation of materials for Compensation Committee, Board, and executive leadership reviews.


What We Look For:
  • 12+ years of compensation experience, including significant experience designing and managing broad-based and executive compensation programs.
  • Demonstrated success leading increasingly complex compensation initiatives and influencing senior business leaders.
  • Deep expertise across compensation strategy, market benchmarking, incentive design, executive compensation, governance, and program administration.
  • Experience supporting executive compensation programs, Board or Compensation Committee processes, proxy-related activities, or other governance requirements.
  • Proven ability to partner effectively with senior stakeholders across People, Finance, Legal, and business leadership.
  • Strong strategic thinking combined with the ability to translate philosophy into scalable operational solutions.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, including expert-level proficiency in Excel and experience building complex compensation models, scenario analyses, and large-scale workforce analyses.
  • Experience leveraging modern analytics, data, and AI-enabled tools (e.g., Snowflake, Sigma Computing, Claude Code, or similar platforms) to drive insights, improve efficiency, and support compensation decision-making.
  • Excellent communication, business judgment, and executive presence, with the ability to manage highly sensitive and confidential information.

Equity Grade - 6

Employees new to Affirm typically come in at the start of the pay range. Affirm focuses on providing a simple and transparent pay structure which is based on a variety of factors, including location, experience and job-related skills.

Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include equity rewards, monthly stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits (including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents.)

CAN base pay range per year: $173,000 - $233,000

About Affirm

Affirm is a publicly traded financial technology company headquartered in San Francisco, United States. Founded in 2012, the company operates as a financial lender of installment loans for consumers to use at the point of sale to finance a purchase.
