Full Job Description
What's the Position?
The Senior Manager - Enhanced Due Diligence is about more than reviewing documents and checking boxes; it's about owning a critical overlapping operations and compliance function that protects our business and our customers while enabling us to grow responsibly across every market we operate in.

As the senior leader of our EDD program, you'll oversee the end-to-end review of high-risk and high-value player accounts- combining financial intelligence, regulatory expertise, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure our program is best-in-class. You'll oversee a team of EDD analysts, supported by a manager, set the standard for quality and consistency, and serve as a primary escalation point for complex cases across our sportsbook and casino products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the EDD function across sportsbook, online casino, and social gaming products, ensuring compliance with AML, gaming, and responsible gambling obligations.
  • Apply advanced analytical and investigative techniques to assess complex player profiles, identifying indicators of money laundering, fraud, bonus abuse, problem gambling concerns, and other emerging player risks.
  • Leverage player activity data, transaction monitoring outputs, betting behavior analytics, and AI-powered tools to identify risk trends and enhance EDD decision-making.
  • Drive ongoing improvements to tooling, workflows, and decisioning frameworks including integration of third-party intelligence platforms (e.g., Thomson Reuters CLEAR, SEON, LexisNexis) and exploration of AI solutions to enhance operational efficiency and risk detection.
  • Own the EDD lifecycle for high-risk and high-value players, from trigger generation and document collection through Source of Funds (SOF), Source of Wealth (SOW), affordability assessments, risk classification, and final decisioning.
  • Conduct and oversee enhanced investigations into VIP and high-net-worth player accounts, including review of complex funding patterns, large wagering activity, payment methods, and cross-jurisdictional risk factors.
  • Establish and maintain EDD policies, procedures, and controls aligned with BSA/AML requirements, state gaming regulations, responsible gambling frameworks, and emerging industry best practices.
  • Partner closely with VIP, Payments, Fraud, Responsible Gaming, Marketing, and Commercial teams to balance player experience, regulatory compliance, and business objectives.
  • Act as the primary SME for EDD-related regulatory examinations, gaming authority inquiries, audits, and compliance reviews.
  • Develop meaningful reporting on player risk trends, VIP population reviews, EDD outcomes, and regulatory metrics for executive leadership.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing EDD team, fostering a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Support a 24/7 regulated gaming environment by providing strategic guidance and escalation support for critical player risk matters.

What Are We Looking For?
  • 6-8+ years of AML, EDD, Financial Crime, Fraud, or Player Risk Management experience, including at least 5 years leading compliance or operational teams.
  • Experience within online sportsbook, iGaming, online casino or gaming.
  • Understanding of the US regulated sports betting and iGaming landscape, including player verification, affordability considerations, AML obligations, and gaming compliance requirements.
  • CAMS certification (or equivalent) required; CGSS, ICA, CFE, or gaming-specific compliance certifications preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting and overseeing investigations involving VIP players, high-value transactions, SOW/SOF verification, PEP reviews, sanctions screening, adverse media assessments, and SAR decision-making.
  • Experience using gaming, fraud, and identity intelligence platforms such as CLEAR, SEON, LexisNexis, Sardine, Sumsub, Veriff, or similar solutions.
  • Proven ability to analyze large data sets relating to player behavior, wagering activity, deposit patterns, and risk indicators, translating insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Proficient in the use of AI tools to enhance review quality, accelerate case workflows, and identify risk patterns at scale, with a practical understanding of how to apply AI responsibly within a compliance context.
  • Flexible in approach and vision- able to pivot priorities in response to regulatory developments, business growth, or emerging risk trends without losing sight of program fundamentals.
  • Ability to support and contribute to a 24/7 service model - comfortable operating across time zones and providing guidance or escalation coverage outside of standard business hours when required.
  • You must be a natural leader who develops talent, drives accountability, and raises the bar for quality across your team.
  • You must be somebody who balances regulatory rigor with operational pragmatism- protecting the business without creating unnecessary friction for legitimate customers.

What's in it for you?
