The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead and grow multidisciplinary engineering teams responsible for large-scale data platforms, analytics applications, and AI-driven solutions. This role combines people leadership, technical strategy, and operational excellence, guiding teams that build high-performance data pipelines, enterprise analytics platforms, and next-generation AI capabilities.

As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our engineering organization and technology platforms. You will drive technical strategy, develop high-performing leaders and teams, and ensure the successful delivery of scalable, reliable, and innovative solutions that support business growth and enhance customer value. Your leadership will directly influence engineering effectiveness, platform performance, and the adoption of emerging technologies such as AI and large language models.

What You'll Be Doing in This Role:

  • Lead and mentor engineering managers and multidisciplinary engineering teams across data engineering, analytics, and application development functions


  • Define and execute technical strategy for large-scale analytics platforms, data pipelines, and AI-enabled solutions


  • Drive adoption of engineering best practices throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)


  • Partner with product, business, and engineering stakeholders to prioritize initiatives and allocate resources effectively


  • Champion engineering excellence through architecture reviews, code quality standards, and technical governance


  • Oversee performance management, coaching, succession planning, and career development for engineering leaders


  • Monitor organizational KPIs, platform reliability, and operational effectiveness to drive continuous improvement


  • Remove delivery obstacles and serve as an escalation point for cross-functional and technical challenges


  • Support recruitment efforts, participate in senior-level hiring decisions, and help scale a diverse engineering organization


  • Stay current on emerging technologies and identify opportunities to leverage AI, cloud technologies, and modern data architectures


Qualifications of this Role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience


  • 7+ years of software development experience, including 4+ years in engineering leadership or management roles


  • Demonstrated success leading and developing engineering teams and people leaders in a distributed environment


  • Strong experience with data engineering, ETL/ELT pipelines, data platforms, or modern data warehouse technologies


  • Hands-on technical background in .NET technologies, including C#, ASP.NET Core, or related frameworks


  • Experience working with large-scale analytics systems and high-volume data environments


  • Knowledge of modern database and data warehouse technologies such as ClickHouse, Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery


  • Experience implementing or supporting AI, machine learning, LLM, or generative AI solutions in production environments


  • Deep understanding of software architecture, code review practices, and all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle


  • Strong experience managing complex projects, competing priorities, and organizational change in fast-paced environments


  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills


  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is considered an asset


  • Previous experience building or scaling enterprise analytics and reporting platforms is preferred

This position has a starting salary range of $130K - $160K CAD / $150K - $180K USD per year. This is the range we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for the role at the time of posting. An employee's pay within the range is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, education, qualifications, experience, performance, business or organizational needs, and geographic location.
