About This Opportunity

Role Summary

The Digital team at 7‑Eleven is redefining convenience through seamless, secure, and scalable financial experiences. As a Senior Manager, Product Management, you will lead the strategy and execution of digital payments and financial services experiences, including stored value, and alternate payments across our ecosystem (mobile apps, web, and backend platforms).

This role is critical to enabling frictionless checkout, secure transactions, and scalable financial infrastructure, while balancing customer experience, risk management, and business outcomes.

You will serve as a player-coach, managing a small team of product managers while also directly contributing to product delivery. The ideal candidate brings deep domain expertise in payments and fraud, a strong product mindset, and the ability to align cross-functional stakeholders across engineering, risk, finance, and operations.

Responsibilities

40% Strategy & Planning

  • Define and own the product vision, roadmap, and success metrics for financial services capabilities across digital platforms.
  • Drive checkout optimization strategy optimizing conversion, cost, and risk.
  • Translate business goals and end-user needs into product strategy; communicate direction and priorities to engineering, accounting, and cross-functional teams.
  • Evaluate and integrate payment partners, fraud vendors, and emerging fintech solutions.
  • Define and track KPIs including payment success rate, checkout conversion, fraud loss, and cost per transaction.
  • Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and innovation.
  • Balance customer experience, risk mitigation, and cost efficiency to drive business outcomes.

30% Delivery & Execution

  • Lead end-to-end product lifecycle: discovery, prioritization, delivery, and iteration.
  • Own and manage the product backlog; make data-driven decisions to maximize business value.
  • Partner with engineering to build high-availability, low-latency transaction systems with strong SLAs
  • Work with user research and testing teams to validate assumptions and refine product direction.
  • Participate in and lead agile ceremonies including standups, planning sessions, demos, and retrospectives.
  • Translate complex financial and technical concepts into clear, actionable requirements for stakeholders.

30% Team & Stakeholder Leadership

  • Manage and mentor 1–3 product managers; foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and growth.
  • Build strong partnerships with risk, legal/compliance, accounting, finance, and operations teams to resolve issues and drive alignment.
  • Act as a proponent of modern agile development practices and continuous improvement.
  • Represent the product team in cross-functional forums and executive-level discussions.
  • Participate in talent acquisition, development, and retention activities in support of team growth.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of product management experience, with strong domain expertise in payments, fintech, or financial services platforms.
  • Proven experience building and scaling payment ecosystems, fraud detection and transaction lifecycle.
  • Deep understanding of Payment ecosystems (issuers, acquirers, gateways, processors), Fraud detection methodologies and tools, Transaction lifecycle (auth 12 capture 12 settlement 12 reconciliation).
  • Experience with high-scale, real-time transaction systems and performance optimization.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives with measurable business impact.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and align cross-functional teams in a complex, matrixed organization without direct authority.
  • Experience managing PMs and leading through influence in matrixed environments
  • Bachelor19s degree required; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
