Overview

We are searching for a Senior Manager, Customer Marketing to join our team located at our corporate headquarters in Lake Forest, IL.

Responsibilities

Your Role:

The Senior Customer Marketing Manager serves as a critical connector between the Hefty Storage and Organization business unit and our retail customers. This role drives new business, owns the customer forecast process, optimizes trade fund deployment, and ensures our go-to-market strategy is translated effectively at the account level. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capability with the relationship instincts, and commercial acumen, to influence both internally and externally.

Strategic Function

  • Serve as the primary Customer Marketing point of contact for assigned field sales teams.
  • Act as a key interface between sales, marketing, finance, supply chain and operations to deliver clear communication, forecast accuracy and efficient utilization of funding and production resources.
  • Own the monthly customer forecast process – consolidating inputs, identifying risks and opportunities, and clearly communicating findings to stakeholders.
  • Translate business unit master plans, innovation priorities, and brand strategies into customer ready materials and programs.
  • Manage and optimize trade spend across customers and the portfolio to maximize ROI through clear customer and product priorities.
  • Analyze and report conditions occurring within the marketplace using IRI or ACNielsen syndicated data and information sourced both internally and externally.
  • Provide direction and answers to questions from Marketing, Finance or Supply Chain groups as it relates to the trade program and field sales issues.

Qualifications

We need you to have:

  • BA/BS degree in a related field
  • 8 + years of sales or marketing experience in Consumer Packaged Goods industry, preferably including trade management.
  • Previous experience in Trade Spend management, shopper marketing, sales and/or developing consumer branding strategy.
  • Strong financial and P&L management experience
  • Proficient in MS Office, with high proficiency in Excel.
  • Proficient in SAP.
  • Must be team-oriented with the ability to work on high collaboration and performance teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills, and the ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the organization.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple accountabilities and multiple internal customers.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with high attention to detail.
  • Solid project management capabilities with the ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously from origin through execution.
  • Knowledge and application of syndicated data, as well as the ability to incorporate financial measures in assessing results.
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures used in the consumer products industry.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule during key business deadlines.
  • Ability to travel regularly on an overnight basis.
  • Must have a valid drivers license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle.

Posted Salary RangeUSD $127,700.00 - USD $185,150.00 /A Bonus EligibilityRole is eligible for 18% annual incentive provided the business meets financial goals and the individual meets their performance goals, subject to plan administration guidelines.
