Senior Manager, Corporate Partnerships & Communications, BWS
The Senior Manager, Corporate Partnerships & Communications, BWS plays a critical role in advancing the organization's national and international corporate water stewardship strategy and program. Working closely with the Senior Director of BWS, this position bridges strategy and execution - translating complex technical work into compelling narratives, managing high-value corporate partnerships, and equipping internal teams and external partners to effectively expand and communicate the impact of water stewardship investments. The ideal candidate is a skilled communicator and relationship manager who thrives in a cross-functional environment and is passionate about connecting corporate commitments to measurable conservation and mission outcomes.
Primary Duties:
Communications & Narrative Development
- Develop and execute messaging strategies that articulate the impact of BWS work at the project, basin, and corporate portfolio levels.
- Translate technical and data-driven insights from project and reporting teams into clear, compelling content for diverse audiences, including corporate partners, funders, and the public.
- Help articulate the corporate partner's programmatic vision and business value derived from water stewardship investment and engagement.
- Develop and maintain key case studies - including flagship projects and engagements - that demonstrate the value of and best practices in corporate water stewardship.
- Partner with BEF's Communications Director to ensure corporate partnership and BWS program messaging remains consistent with BEF's overall brand, mission, and reputation, while meeting BWS program-specific brand requirements.
Corporate Partner Engagement & Capacity Building
- Articulate BWS's corporate engagement strategy to funders, partners, sustainability forums, NGOs, and other relevant organizations at the regional and portfolio level.
- Build the capacity of implementing partners to effectively communicate, champion, and benefit from BWS program work.
- Support media engagement and communications on behalf of corporate clients, projects, and funding partners.
- Exercise sound judgment in balancing competing partner priorities and program constraints, recommending the most effective path forward for high-value engagements.
Corporate Partnership & Program Management
- Contribute to the development and execution of grant and funding strategies, including corporate and grant reporting in coordination with the BWS program team.
- Support the management of multi-million dollar corporate partnerships and contracts, including strategy development, project investment, and tracking and reporting to deliver outcomes that address shared water challenges and deliver on corporate program objectives.
- Support tracking of progress against corporate partnership goals and program targets, adjusting priorities as needed to ensure measurable outcomes are achieved.
Policy & Coalition Support
- Provide support for policy initiatives and collaboratives that leverage business engagement and coalition efforts as needed.
- Support the development and management of conference, presentation and similar engagement opportunities for BWS.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, communications, environmental science, public policy, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in corporate partnerships, program management, communications, or a related field - ideally within the conservation, sustainability, or environmental sector.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical or scientific information into clear narratives for non-technical audiences.
- Experience managing or supporting partnerships, grants, clients, or contracts, including budget oversight and reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and professionalism including experience managing relationships and developing presentations, reports, and partner-facing materials.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
