Job Summary and QualificationsThe Senior Manager Contracts is responsible for negotiating national agreements within the surgical portfolio to deliver competitive pricing, favorable contract terms, and value for HealthTrust members. Manages a portfolio of approximately $100M-$200M in annual spend and leads strategic sourcing initiatives from development through contract implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic sourcing activities including market analysis, RFI/RFP management, supplier negotiations, contract awards, and implementation.
- Develop and execute contracting strategies that maximize value, mitigate risk, and align with member needs.
- Negotiate pricing and contract terms, including risk mitigation, performance requirements, and commercial protections.
- Present sourcing strategies and award recommendations to internal stakeholders and member advisory boards.
- Build relationships with suppliers, customers, and cross-functional partners to drive successful outcomes.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting financial, operational, and timeline objectives.
- Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and category dynamics to support sourcing strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field required.
- 3+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, contract management, or supply chain operations.
- Experience negotiating contracts in the nursing or surgical categories, preferred.
- Healthcare industry experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and contract management skills.
- Ability to interpret financial models and supplier proposals.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong project management and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
