Position Summary...

What you'll do...
As a Senior Manager, Construction within Walmart Realty, you'll own a portfolio of approximately 10-15 store remodel projects across the Southwest Business Unit, ensuring each is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to Walmart's quality standards.

This is a highly field-focused role requiring weekly travel to project sites. You'll walk stores, partner closely with general contractors, identify and resolve risks, and keep projects moving forward. You'll also use project management technology and emerging tools, including AI, to improve visibility, decision-making, and execution.

What You'll Do
  • Own the delivery of 10-15 active store remodels, managing schedule, budget, quality, safety, and overall project performance.
  • Travel weekly throughout the Southwest Business Unit to walk projects, assess progress, support general contractors, and address issues firsthand.
  • Identify project risks early, resolve construction challenges, and escalate critical issues to keep projects on track.
  • Manage contractor and vendor performance, including scope, change orders, costs, timelines, and compliance with Walmart standards.
  • Partner across Store Operations, Facilities, Procurement, design, engineering, and other teams to align priorities and minimize disruption.
  • Use project management software, data, and emerging AI tools to monitor project health, communicate risks, and improve how construction projects are delivered.


What You'll Bring
  • Strong construction project management experience with a track record of delivering multiple concurrent projects on schedule, on budget, and to quality and safety standards.
  • Hands-on field leadership and the ability to assess construction progress, identify risks, solve problems, and hold contractors accountable.
  • Experience managing project budgets, contracts, change orders, vendors, and construction-related risk.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-moving environment.
  • Comfort with project management technology and digital tools, along with curiosity about and exposure to AI.
  • Ability and willingness to travel at least weekly throughout the Southwest Business Unit.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
