Job Description:We are currently searching for the best talent for a
Senior Manager, Commercial Innovation to join our Orthopaedics team located in Warsaw, IN.
Purpose:The Senior Manager, Commercial Innovation will support the DePuy Synthes Commercial Excellence organization as we build and scale a Commercial Intelligence Platform. This role will serve as a force multiplier for the Sr. Director, Strategic Customer Programs, helping translate strategic vision into actionable business outcomes.
The ideal candidate combines commercial acumen, consulting experience, process redesign expertise, and strong facilitation skills. The contractor will lead workstreams that identify, prioritize, and define high-value commercial AI use cases while helping design future-state workflows, operating models, launch strategies, and value realization frameworks.
This role will partner closely with Commercial Excellence, Pricing & Contracting, Commercial Operations, Sales, Marketing, and Data & Technology teams.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables Commercial Use Case Discovery & Prioritization - Facilitate workshops across commercial functions to identify AI-enabled business opportunities.
- Develop and maintain a commercial AI use case inventory.
- Assess use cases based on strategic value, financial impact, scalability, data readiness, and adoption potential.
- Develop business cases and recommendation materials for leadership review.
Future-State Workflow & Operating Model Design - Document current-state commercial processes and decision workflows.
- Design future-state workflows incorporating AI-driven recommendations and agentic capabilities.
- Facilitate commemorating decision rights, escalation paths, and governance considerations.
- Identify opportunities to eliminate manual effort and improve commercial decision-making.
Commercial Intelligence Launch & Rollout Planning - Support development of phased rollout strategies across commercial domains.
- Assist in launch planning activities for new workflows and platform capabilities.
- Create leadership-ready content to support launch activities and stakeholder engagement.
- Help establish repeatable frameworks for future deployments.
Workshop Facilitation & Stakeholder Engagement - Lead discovery sessions and design workshops with commercial leaders.
- Facilitate cross-functional working teams.
- Drive action tracking and follow-through across transformation initiatives.
- Support commercial domain councils and governance forums.
Qualifications / Requirements:Required Experience - 10+ years of experience in orthopedics, preferably in business transformation, commercial strategy, or operational improvement.
- Strong facilitation, stakeholder management, and executive communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience - Experience leading cross-functional transformation initiatives.
- AI, analytics, or digital transformation experience.
- Experience supporting operating model redesign and large-scale change initiatives.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals.
