Position Summary

As a Senior Manager, Client Network Guarantee Management, you will lead a team accountable for the financial performance of contractual guarantee commitments across a portfolio of clients, including margin management, performance monitoring, risk identification, and reporting. You will provide leadership across a portfolio of guarantee arrangements, ensuring that priorities are acted on effectively, and commitments are delivered with strong operational discipline.

In this role you will play an important part in strengthening, scaling, and executing the broader client network pricing operating model. You will influence financial performance, contractual compliance, and strategic decision making across a significant portfolio of client guarantee commitments. As an ideal candidate you will bring a strong mix of people leadership, financial acumen, cross-functional partnership, and execution rigor. You will be responsible for developing team capability, creating clear performance visibility, and translating strategic priorities into coordinated action across internal partners.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Lead and develop a team of analysts and senior analytical professionals through coaching, performance management, prioritization, and capability building.
  • Lead performance oversight and margin management of retail, mail, and specialty guarantees.
  • Ensure contractual commitments, reporting timelines, and key deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
  • Provide senior leadership with concise, decision-oriented readouts covering guarantee performance, financial risk, corrective actions, owners, and expected outcomes.
  • Translate business needs into actionable analytics, reporting, and execution plans across a portfolio of client commitments.
  • Partner closely with data science, client operations, underwriting, and other client and pharmacy teams to improve performance, drive visibility, and support business decisions.
  • Strengthen and scale the operating model across multiple lines of business and guarantee types by reinforcing clear ownership, effective coordination, and disciplined follow-through.
  • Identify risks, performance gaps, and process improvement opportunities, and drive solutions that improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Own the development and execution of corrective action plans when guarantee performance, margins, contractual commitments, or delivery timelines are at risk.


Required Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience in pricing, financial analysis, contract performance, margin management, or a related analytical function, including responsibility for translating complex data into business decisions.
  • 3+ years of experience in Healthcare, preferabley within a PBM or Managed Care environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including direct people leadership or significant responsibility leading teams, developing talent, and driving performance.
  • Experience developing or managing financial models, forecasts, and performance reporting.
  • Advanced Excel skills and demonstrated experience analyzing large datasets using database, reporting, or analytical tools.
  • Demonstrated experience managing competing priorities and delivering accurately against contractual and business timelines.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and driving measurable results in a complex business environment.
  • Demonstrated experience communicating financial performance, risks, and recommendations to senior leaders.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in PBM contracting, networks, underwriting, specialty pharmacy, or pharmacy pricing.
  • Understanding of healthcare and PBM contracting structures.
  • Experience evaluating complex financial guarantee structures and developing corrective action plans.
  • Experience with advanced modeling, forecasting, or optimization methodologies.
  • Experience establishing processes, improving workflows, and scaling operational capabilities.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, Python, or similar analytical languages
  • Experience with Tableau, BigQuery, Dataiku, or comparable analytics platforms.


Education
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.


Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$75,400.00 - $182,549.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
